My 4th year in uni

Darcdan Hostel

I got home from farm, tired and bored. My roommate was on IT( Industrial Training). So it was only me in my hostel. Did Tosin come say hi to me in my hostel? Not really... I was always going to her hostel to spend time with her. I was in love.
I had admirers and maybe that got into my head, in a way, I was already getting influenced by my friends. At least, I would say I survived the day alone in my hostel. I had Ejiro and Dammy, my hostel mates, Ruka and Debola- couples, their room was opposite mine; Rahman and Demola- my hostel mates too. My hostel wasn't that fine but it was lively. We really loved ourselves and we would spend time together to play monopoly and eat food together.

It was 7am, I was prepared to go to school and immediately I got outside my hostel, alas!
It was Tina!
The same girl we were all tripping for the previous week! I couldn't believe my eyes!
That fair skinned, sexy, slightly slender babe was right there in my eyes! Trying to at least pave her way to the bus stop to get a cab and get to farm. We were both going to the farm but her approach was different, she was rushing 🏃‍♀️ to farm while I was 🚶‍♂️strolling like I owned the farm.
Well, you guessed right...
I had to quicken my pace also so I could catch up with her; not that I had the courage to talk and relate with her but then, the excitement of seeing her pumped some adrenaline into my system, had no choice but to shoot that shot, at least lay the foundation.

Voom voom!
A taxi packed right beside her, the farm coat I held in my hands also gave me away as an agric student. Even the blind could tell we were going to the same place. I joined in the car and we took off.

So, you are also in livestock?
I said to her with some courage on the inside of me.
Nb: It was a silly question cos I knew she was going there but then, I was a learner- I didn't know how to at least start a conversation with her.

She said with the look of - really? That's your pick up line?

Confused ...
Yes, I was confused. Didn't know how to continue the conversation, didn't know what to say to her, I guess she sensed my situation and so, she rescued and saved my soul. Lmao.

'I've seen your face quite a few times, IFSERAR and livestock'.
She said.

"Really"?
(I said with some blush, felt like some celeb, felt special and important)

"Yeah, are you not the boy that's always with Dara"?
She asked.

(Oh jeez! Dara again?¿. I thought to myself with no response to her question).

You guys were pretty close in IFSERAR o! Uhn uhn!
She said giggling 🤭

"I never dated Dara, we were just friends.
People do not believe but it's the truth"
I defended myself...

"Uncle, I never said you dated her now". She said with some laughter, I could see her white sparkling teeth and all I could think and imagine was probably kiss from her; I knew I was only fantasizing and even f I had the chance with her, I wouldn't.
Not for any reason but because I made a promise I would only kiss my girlfriend and her alone.

"Ugh, we're in school". I told her.
I felt relieved I was free from the Dara discussion.

I had some extra cash on me and as my culture raised me, I was told to always take responsibility no matter how little. So, I was able to pay the fare.

"You're Tina".
Right?
I said to her while strolling with her to the farm from the carpark.

'Yeah yeah'.
Tina Voke.
She added...

"Tina Voke"?
Your name and surname?
I inquired

"Not really"
She replied

"I'm Mide btw"
I told her

"Oh, Mr Mide the Yoruba demon"
She said

"Errr..."

At this point, we were already close to the farm amd my friends were looking at me, surprised I was already relating with Tina Voke and we were talking pretty good on our way to the farm.

She lives in my area!!!
I said to them, bragging.
My shoulders were pretty high.

We all laughed it off and continued our work on farm. At least, something good was out of the jokes and all. I had the girl at my door. Maybe not my door but then, she lived in my area.

It was around 2pm and we all were pretty tired.
My eye was looking all round for Tina, maybe- just maybe she would suggest us going home together and that was just what happened!

Okay, maybe not that.
I learnt she had a guy on farm- Mayowa.
Who was like her best friend in location and they still remained friends even at the livestock farm. She was with him almost throughout farm that day, I knew she was always with him but I felt pretty jealous that day, maybe 'cos I was already attracted to her  and there she was with another dude.
I had no say on that, I couldn't control her actions; as much as I wanted her to sit with me, I couldn't make her to. I sat there looking at them both just wishing I were there with them, okay- with her. I could care less about the Mayowa! 🤷🏿‍♂️.

We were done on farm and everyone was going home, I made sure my eyes were on her, maybe- just maybe she would call me, but she didn't. And so, I had to man up.

Hey Miss Vo...
I wasn't yet done when she said...

"Mide Mide!
I was just looking out for you so we'd walk home together".

I tapped my friends and said to them with some signals
"You heard that!
Did you hear that!
Uhn????????"

She made my day with the words she said, she could also sense the excitement in me. The blush was obvious on my face.
It was my best day on farm!

We became close friends and just like we met, we would go to the farm together and back home together. I would visit her hostel and she would do the same. This came with a cost, a painful one.
I was already drifting away from Stella, Kemi and Bunmi; I couldn't deal with that but like you would guess, I was drifting away from Funbi- my girlfriend who meant a lot to me. Even the blind could see and the deaf could hear my distraction but I was silly to sense it. I had funny chats with Tina. She was attracted to me and so was I. She respected me that even with the distraction of mine, I never for once tried to touch her in a funny way, let to say kiss her. I was actually sapio-sexual, she was sweet to talk to and was all fun to relate with. She had the words that interested me, she had the care. She was just amazing. She looked like the complete woman. She was extroverted and I was the opposite-introvert but all her talks, even the boring ones were just interesting to me. My chat with Funbi reduced and I made a suggestion, told Tosin to let us reduce our chats so we would have more to share in person but this was just an excuse to be with Tina online with no 'distractions'. I never asked Tina out but we both were relating closely and we were just too close!
We got done with livestock and the attraction still remained! I had totally drifted away from Tosin and she was hurting.
