Night had fallen. All was still. Everyone slept. Well, not everyone. High on the balcony of a flat in the centre of London, stood a boy. Well, a 31 year old man but still. He stood in the dark air, night embracing him like a cold blanket, staring out at the night sky. Light pollution from the bright london streets meant that the skies were not completly black, more of a deep blue, but beautiful non the less. Pinpricks of light twinkled in the velvet of the sky and the green and red flicker of mars could be seen in the distance. However, the man cast not his gaze to them but instead to the enchanting disc of light that is the moon. Tonight, the enchanting light came not from a silver surface, but rather a pale blue one. Tonight, there was a blue moon. Tonight, anything could happen. The man shivered and clutched his coat tighter to his shoulders. His ocean eyes twinkled with the light of a thousand stars but his smile was not as full as the moon. Although he was accompanied by the calming night, he felt alone. That was until he felt gentle arms embrace his waist and soft lips pressed to his ebony hair. Soft music began to play and he turned, feeling a warm hand in his. His boyfriend placed his other hand on his waist and began to gently sway. Together they silently spun and twirled, no words passed between the pair. They were simply enjoying each others presence.
A sweet voice whispered gently in his ear "Please adore me."
Phil smiled, "I already do."
"Good, because I adore you too." Dan leaned in and Phil met him, sending tingles through their bodies. By now they had stopped dancing and simply stood, hand in hand, staring into the night. Phil leaned his head onto dans shoulder and Dan kissed it softly. Soft music still played from dans phone in the background and the noise of the city melted into a soft hum as they stood in the night. Phil looked at the mysterious orb that hung in the sky, and he could of sworn that the blue moon had turned to gold.

An: thank you guys so much for 390 reads! You have no idea how much that  means to me:). Anywho, this oneshot is based of an old song that I really love and have been singing all day because we went to an art exhibition and one of the paintings was called blue moon. I also really love this genre of music as there's just something so enchanting wonderful about it. It's also really uplifting so, next time youre feeling gloomy, maybe give jazz a shot, it works, I swear! Sorry, I know you probably dont care but im really passionate about it so... Anywho, if you feel like it, check it out! I recommend Ella Fitzgerald, Bing Crosby and frank Sinatra as theyre my personal favourites. Also, maybe listen to some songs by Cole porter and Irving Berlin as they are simply fabulous! I literally know all the words to far too many of their songs! If your interested in modern jazz, then Caro emerald is really good, im going to see her live in October and i am very excited! Okay, sorry, i know you probably dont like the same sort of music as me, most people dont, i was born in the wrong century its fine! Okay, ill leave you to get on with your incredibly interesting and exciting lives that dont have time for my waffles in! K, love you all, Boobye!
