Hearing Bayne's voice, Yaran's eyes averted to his direction. "You..."

Slouching down to stare him in the eyes, Bayne smirked. "Yes?"

Leaning back slightly to distance himself from their close proximity, Yaran muttered. "Where did you go?"

"I was beside you the whole time," Bayne informed.

"Then, why didn't you show yourself?"

"I just want to see..."

"See what?" Yaran appeared confused.

"See," Bayne leaned forward, "if you would miss me."

"I don't miss you," Yaran denied.

"Is that so?"

"Y-Yeah." Yaran glimpsed away nervously.

"In that case, I'll leave." Bayne turned around and started to fade.

"Wait!" Yaran shouted out. "Stay."

"Are you admitting that you miss me?"

Yaran nibbled on his bottom lip and sighed. "Yes. I miss you. Don't ever disappear without telling me."

"Why?" Bayne challenged.

"I..." Yaran gulped.

"Yes?" Bayne proceeded to tease him.

"I..." Yaran paused for a moment. "I don't know why."

"That was not the answer I was expecting, but...okay."

"I...my heart...it feels weird whenever you're not around. I don't understand it either. We've only just met."

"You really don't remember me, huh?"

Yaran could feel the sadness in Bayne's eyes, and his heart ached. "Why am I...?" Pressing a hand on his chest, Yaran furrowed his brows. "Did we know each other before the accident?"

"You could say that." Bayne smiled sadly.

"Were we good friends?"

"Yes." Bayne nodded. "We were very close."

"We..."

The bedroom door swung open and in came Samson. "Yaran ge, are you okay?" Samson scanned the room at once. "I heard you talking. Who were you talking to?"

"Why didn't you knock before entering?" Yaran inquired.

"I did," Samson said. "You ignored me, because you were busy talking to yourself."

"I wasn't talking to myself."

"Is that so?" Samson was not convinced.

"I was talking to..." Yaran noticed that Bayne was pointing at the cell phone on his mattress and promptly picked it up. "I was talking on the phone."

"I know all your friends. Who was it?"

Yaran looked up at Bayne for help.

"Tell him it's a telemarketer," Bayne instructed.

"T-Telemarketer," Yaran sputtered.

Noticing that Yaran was staring up at a certain direction, Samson followed his gaze but couldn't see anything in particular. "What are you looking at, Yaran ge?"
