"Love?" Bayne asked.
Realizing what he just said, Yaran quickly tried to change the subject. "Do we have mangoes in the apartment? I suddenly want some."
"I'm sure Samson bought some for you. The refrigerator is filled. How much does he think you eat?"
"He filled it up so that he and Jake could come over and eat," Yaran explained. "I'm going to go search for them."
"Isn't it kind of late for you to be eating...me?"
Bayne's words made Yaran gulped nervously. "W-What do you mean by that?"
"Didn't you call me a mango? You want to eat mangoes, so you want to eat me. Am I right?" A smirk lifted a corner of Bayne's mouth. "Since we could feel each other's touch, perhaps you should eat..."
"I'll go get the mangoes!" Yaran leaped off the bed to rush out.
Bayne grasped Yaran's wrist to keep him from leaving. "It's not good for your digestion to be eating this late." Pulling him into a hug, Bayne chuckled at the blushing beauty's timid struggling.
"W-What are you doing?" Yaran sputtered.
"I don't know." Bayne leaned his face close enough for their lips to almost touch. "What do you think I am doing?" Pushing Yaran onto the bed, he placed his hands on each side of the man's head to trap him with his arms. His thighs were straddled over Yaran's hips and he lowered his face to feel the other's rapid breaths on his lips.
"B-Bayne..."
"Hmm...?"
"I," Yaran grabbed a hold of Bayne's shoulders and flipped their positions, "like it better this way."
Surprised at first, Bayne's shock expression was replaced by his chuckles. "I forgot that you're stronger than me."
"I forgot as well," Yaran admitted.
"Well, you do have amnesia." Bayne pointed out.
"I do."
"And you have also forgotten that you love me." Bayne attempted to trick Yaran.
"Is that so?" Yaran wasn't buying it.
"Perhaps you should say it to me again, before I become lifeless."
"Bayne, I hate to break it to you; but you are lifeless."
"Okay...before I vaporize," Bayne corrected.
"Didn't you tell me that ghosts don't vaporize? Only vampires do." Yaran squinted his eyes at Bayne.
"This is getting out of hand. I think I prefer you being afraid of ghosts."
"Why is that?"
"I feel more powerful," Bayne claimed.
"Your thick skin is quite powerful."
"I'm not sure what to take of that statement."
"Take it as the truth."
"All right, I agree. Since you have such thin skin, I have to thicken mine to accommodate." Bayne smiled brightly at Yaran.
My heart is beating so fast. Even without my memory, my heart is reacting to him. My heart...loves him. Yaran was frozen in his thoughts.
