*1 week later*
I walked in Simóne's apartment building and rung her doorbell. "Who is it?" I heard her little voice say. She must be sleepy or mad. "It's your fiance" I said chuckling at the thought. She opened the door in a silk robe and socks. She looked a mess in a cute way. I walked in and shut the door pulling the box with the rings out. "Look" I said causing her to turn towards the box. "Are those.. " she asked. "Yes. Give me your hand" I said getting on one knee making her laugh. "Stop be serious" I said smiling. "Will you marry me?" I asked. She bit her lip and busted out laughing. "Just put the ring on my what THE ACTUAL HELL CHRIS!" she said looking at her hand. "This is a like 500,000 dollars on my finger....take it back... No" she said trying to take it off. I grabbed her hand. "Stop...I wouldn't have gotten for anyone else. Please. I know we aren't really together but you're my friend and you're basically giving me your life for a few months and this is my token of appreciation" I said looking in her eyes. "I accept hugs yah know" she said biting her lip looking at the ring. Something about her in an engagement ring I got her made my stomach get butterflies. "It looks beautiful on you.. " I said watching her sit down. "It's just so much money Chris. I can pay off college with this" she said about to cry. "What's wrong?" I said touching her hand. "It's just.. Like... I always wanted this. All the love and happiness and the engagement and all... But I wanted it to be real. I... I just want someone to really love me and this just hit a soft spot. I'm sorry" she said looking down. I felt my stomach knot up. "Well let's really get married.." I said. "What?" She said looking up. "Let's really get married. Wedding, wedding dress, honey moon" I said smiling. "Chris you don't love me like that" she said. "And you love me?" I asked. She just bit her lip. "Simóne..." I said waiting for her to open her mouth. She sat in silence.
"I'm suggesting we get married so the certificates and all that are publicized and people will see it. You know  they're going to dig and dig and if they don't find real proof that we're 'married' we are busted. So why not just throw a real wedding?" I said looking at  her big brown eyes. "Chris. I'm not even the kind of girl you'd really date" she said standing. "What does that mean?" I said standing with her. "Look at me Chris. I'm flawed. My teeth aren't perfect and I have freckles. My hair is a little messy and I have glasses. I'm thick and I... I'm not them" "who is them" I said looking down at her. "These girls you talk to. These famous girls. These models. I'm not them" she said walking away from me. I grabbed her arm. "Hey, you really don't think of yourself as beautiful? You don't think I see you as beautiful?" I asked looking in her eyes. "Just let me go..." She said pulling her arm away. "I really care about you Chris. I do. Something about you drives me crazy. I don't want all this to be fake. I... I really love you. But...look.. I'll do this for a few more months. But when we aren't in the lime light. I can't pretend anymore. Let's just keep the professional friendship and stop the personal one. I can't take it anymore" she said a rear slipping down her cheek. "Simóne..I..." I said trying to handle the situation. "Paps are outside now. Near your car. If you leave with this box. They'll think you're moving some of my stuff in your house. Just throw it away when you can" she said walking to the back room. I wanted to chase her but I knew me chasing bet was a losing battle. I stood and decided what I should do. Finish out this plan for my career or save my friendship. I never chase a bitch too hard. But she isn't a bitch. So I guess ima chase her lil ass.
