I'm breathing shakily. My hands are shaking and my throat feels dry. I feel tears prickling at my eyes, threatening to fall down.

I lock eyes with Lucas who says while avoiding my eye contact, "I'll-uhm, keep on the look-out but I'll go fetch the plans first."

Edward says frustratedly, "Just do it at a fast pace." He nods before scurrying out the room.

Edward pushes me on to a chair and glares at me, "You better keep your mouth shut princess, otherwise you will need to bear the consequences."

I obey his instructions. I wait until his back is facing me before I kick him. He hisses in pain and I pick up my chair and throw him.

I then make my way to the door but I quickly grab his knife before shaking violently at the book shelf.

He groans in pain as the books fall on top of him. I then dash out of the room and search frantically for Max.

I eventually get him, he scans me worriedly, "Laura-wha-" I cut him off as I say hastily. "I'll explain later, make sure that all the guards are on the look out for Lucas. Edward is in the library and he basically did this to me. He's the leader of the rebels."

Max looks shocked but more angry than anything else. He nods. "Alright then, go find your family." I nod. I burst into my father's study.

I jump as I see Luke pressing a guns to my father and my mother's head. "Drop the knife, or I shoot."

I drop the knife and say slowly, "Please, I beg of you do not hurt my family." He chuckles, "Well, what happens to yours happens to mine."

I furrow my eyebrows, "I beg your pardon." He kicks open my father's large cupboard. I gasp as soon as I see a tear stained Melissa next to a wounded Ryan.

I gasp, "Please Luke." He smirks, "Well, I stop if Edward says stop. Otherwise, I keep going."

I remain silent as my brain thinks of a plan. I got it.

I say slowly, "Edward's dead." Luke looked up, "Liar." I shrug, "Why would I lie about death?"

Luke smirks, "Oh come on princess. Why wouldn't you?" I sigh, "What do you want Luke?"

He smirks, "The crown." I furrow my eyebrows, "You go through all this effort for a crown?" He rolls his eyes. "Not just any crown, princess. I want yours."

I stop for a moment. He knows that that crown has sentimental value. My grandmother gave it to me years before she passed on.

"Why that one in particular?" Luke chuckles, "Stupid girl. That crown is made from the most majestic diamond of all our time."

I contimplait and mentally discuss the advantages and disadvantages.

"Fine then. It's yours."

My parents gasp. My mother cries out, "Laura dear! Are you certain?" Luke glares at her, "Silence!" She whispers but nods.

My father is staring at me intensely. I avoid his stares. Luke folds his arms, "So are you willing to give up the crown princess?"

I nod. "My family means more to me than some majestic diamond. Such a pity Luke, you have such a great son. Yet, you fail to see that because you're so caught up in this lifestyle of yours."

His eyes drop to the floor, but any sort of emotion is quickly brushed off as he clears his throat.

"Bring it to me." He orders. I nod. I dash through the corridors and into my room. I unlock the safe and stare at my crown.

I'm sorry grandmother.

I rush back to the study and hand the crown over to Luke.

He grabs it and he starts running. The fool, obviously doesn't get very far. As he is tackled to the ground by none other than Maxwell Hugh.

Edward, Luke, Lucas and their troop have been sent to the dungeon for life. There were other grusome things we could've done but, we shall not.

My family and I immediately got sent off to the hospital wing.

-Later-

My eyes flutter open and I see Max smiling at me. "Well hello there." I smile, "Hi."

I sit up, "Max, thank you for saving me." He shook his head, "No, thank you for saving all of us."

I shake my head. He smiles, "Close your eyes." I do so. "Open them." I see him holding my crown. "Suprise." I smile, "Ah Max! I'm so grateful! Thank you!"

He nods, "Oh and another thing." I nod. "Yes?" He goes down on one knee. I gasp.

He smiles, "Marry me Miss Laura Marie Coraline?" I nod, "Yes!" He places the ring on my finger before crashing his lips on to mine.

For once, I am truely happy.
