THE WEDDING

I am gently shaken by Ginger who looks extremely happy. I was uncertain why but immediately grinned as I remembered.

Today is the day that my life shall change forever.

I jump out of bed and immediately freshen up. Ginger kept saying, "Laura today has finally arrived!!"
I had a couple of hours to prepare as the wedding will only start at eleven-hundred.

I slip into my light pink dress for the time being. I hear a soft knock on my door. "You may enter."

Ginger quickly opens the door before excusing herself, as to my suprise, my mother walks in.

She stares at me for a moment before breaking out into a sob. Me, being unaware of what to do, I just stare at her.

She places herself delicately on to my chair before taking my hand. I am to disoriented to flinch as her words hit me straight into the heart.

"Laura dear, I know that I have been the worst mother of all time. I know that I've realised this fact to late, as today you become queen and marry the man that you love. I am so proud of you darling, despite me never showing it. You mean so much to your father and I. Darling, would you ever be able to forgive me?"

I feel the tears falling effortlessly down my cheeks as I nod. She chuckles and wipes them with her gentle hands. "Ah my dear. I love you."

I sniffle, "I love you too, mother." I pull her close to me as we embrace each other in a hug.

We pull away and chuckle. She smiles and kisses my forehead. "Max is a good man." I smile, "Yes, I am aware."

-Later-

I slip into my wedding dress and make my way to the front entrance of the church.

My father stares at me and smiles. "My first daughter is getting married." I chuckle. He kisses my cheek as he tears up, "I love you Laur." I smile, "I love you more dad." I wipe the tears from his cheeks before giving him a hug.

I hear the music playing and I inhale. Exhale. My father smiles at me. "You ready?" I smile and nod. "Yes." He nods as the guards open the door.

I smile as I see all these faces beaming at me as I walk past them. Max cannot see me yet as it was a long aisle.

When he did see me his eyes were fixated on me. My heart melted as soon as he teared up and ran his hands through his hair.

Once ny father hands me over to Max he turns to me and whispers. "Hi, you look so beautiful." I smile, "Hey and thank you. You look very handsome yourself." He whispers back smirking, "Only the best for my wife." I blush at the statement.

The service was quite long and stretched out. The pastor smiled, "I know pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride."

Max clutches my face as he leans in and kisses me.

We then walked out hand-in-hand. Once we arrived at the castle Max ran to his room while I ran to mine.

I frantically had to change into my coronation dress. I take a moment. I smile at the full length mirror, as I see how beautiful the dress is.

Ginger undoes up updo and she tidies up my waves. She smiles at me, "I remember seeing you when you were a little girl Laura. I think you were about five years old, and you kept on about how you wanted to become someone who changed the world, someday."

I fell the tears prickling at the corners of my eyes. She gently places my tiara on to my head before smiling.

"This is the last time wearing this tiara." I nod, "Yes, and it feels so surreal." She chuckles, "Now you see how I'm feeling." I laugh and hug her.

I walk downstairs to see Max staring at me wide-eyed, "Wow Laura, you look stunning."

I smile, "Thank you." He takes my hand before thanking Ginger as she ran past us to get a seat in the grand hall.

Max kisses my cheek, "So you're finally my wife now." I laugh, "Yes, finally."

THE CORONATION

My parents approach me beaming. My mom clutches my hand, "I'm a  proud mother, Laura." I kiss her cheek.

My father kisses my forehead, "I am so proud of you Laura." I smile.

The crown gets placed on to my head while Sedrick says proudly, "I now crown you queen of Masual."

I smile as the audience errupted into an applause.

-Later-

I knock on Amelia's door. She opens it and pulls me into a hug. "Ah Laura! Well done! I am so proud of you!" I smile, "Ah Amelia, none of this would be without your help. Oh my, am I going to miss you."

She tears up and nods. She then put on her 'brave face', "Very well then, I suggest I be off." I nod as we walk out together. She gives me one last hug, before a coutrsey and hops into the carriage.

I make my way back to my room to freshen up. On my way there I see my parents with Melissa and Ryan.

I hear Melissa's faint voice, "Yes, I am pregnant and Ryan and I will be living in a little cottage."

The reply caught me off guard...

My father bursts into tears, "I suppose bending the rules a bit will do no harm? Oh how ecstatic I am about having a grandchild."

They were accepting.

I smile as they hug.

Once I reach my room I see Max already staring outside my window.

"May I help you?" He turns around and smiles. "You may." I smile as he wraps his arms around me and pulls me close to him.

He kisses my forehead before smiling. "See my darling, everything fell into place. Even us."

I smile at the thought.

Look how far I've come, from being naive to being confident and something so much greater than I could ever imagine.

I suppose everything has it's time, and everything will fall into place.

I was so lost, but now I am found.
