I promise the next one of these I write will be a request. I was just listening to this song earlier and felt inspired to write this. Plus after all the angst I wrote with this ship I need to write some fluff. If any of you don't know what this ship is it's between Roman and my OC Jenni Opal. Also if it wasn't obvious this is an AU.

Key: Roman, Jenni, Both

Roman Torchwick quickly ran into the circus arena looking for his friend Jenni Opal. The two of them had gone out to the theater together barely an hour ago but after several humans had insulted the Faunus girl she ran off back to the only home she'd ever known, the Faunus circus where she was a trapeze performer. Roman worked there as well but he was the ringmaster's business partner. Finally he spotted her wearing her practice gear as she got ready to work on some of her trapeze tricks.

"There you are! I got worried after you ran off," Roman said running up to her.

Jenni said nothing as she began to untie the ropes around the arena.

"Listen about the theater. I'm sorry. I didn't know something like that would happen."

"Of course not," Jenni muttered, "you humans don't realize what it's like to be looked at like that. But for me it's everyday of my life. I don't even know why you want to be with someone like me."

Roman slowly approached her from behind, "You know I want you. It's not a secret I try to hide. I know you want me. So don't keep saying our hands are tied."

Jenni ignored him and kept preparing the ropes.

"You claim it's not in the cards and fate is pulling you miles away and out of reach from me. But you're here in my heart. So who can stop me if I decide that you're my destiny?"

He grabbed her hand and leaned in close, "What if we rewrite the stars? Say you were made to be mine. Nothing could keep us apart. You'd be the one I was meant to find. It's up to you, and it's up to me. No one can say what we get to be."

Jenni kept trying to pull away and practice but Roman kept grabbing the rope she was holding forcing her to look at him.

"So why don't we rewrite the stars?
Maybe the world could be ours
Tonight."

Jenni had had enough and she pulled on the rope causing a sandbag to land on the ground and her to go up to the ceiling. She grabbed a hoop from the catwalk and sat in the middle of it practicing her flips,"You think it's easy. You think I don't want to run to you. But there are mountains. And there are doors that we can't walk through. I know you're wondering why
because we're able to be just you and me within these walls. But when we go outside you're gonna wake up and see that it was hopeless after all.

She lowered herself to the ground to catch her breath for a second and as she pulled herself back up to the ceiling Roman grabbed the edge of the hoop so he could go up with her. However at the last second he let go and dropped back down to the arena floor. Jenni jumped back on the catwalk before swinging down on the rope towards Roman, "No one can rewrite the stars. How can you say you'll be mine? Everything keeps us apart. And I'm not the one you were meant to find. It's not up to you, it's not up to me. When everyone tells us what we can be. How can we rewrite the stars? Say that the world can be ours. Tonight."

As Jenni swung back down Roman caught her and he was swept up with her as she swung through the arena, "All I want is to fly with you. All I want is to fall with you. So just give me all of you."

"It feels impossible."

"It's not impossible."

"Is it impossible?"

"Say that it's possible."

The two landed back on the ground and Roman began to dance with her spinning her around him before she pulled away. She grabbed the low hanging rope and began to swing around the arena again, "How do we rewrite the stars? Say you were made to be mine?
Nothing can keep us apart. Cause you are the one I was meant to find. It's up to you, and it's up to me. No one can say what we get to be. And why don't we rewrite the stars? Changing the world to be ours."

This time Roman got smart and climbed up the ladder that led to the catwalk. As Jenni swung by he grabbed her and pulled her back to the floor.

The two landed on the floor together and Roman held her close. Jenni looked into his green eyes but sighed sadly, "You know I want you. It's not a secret I try to hide. But I can't have you. We're bound to break and my hands are tied."

She gave him one last look before sadly walking away.
