RoyalFlame (2): In the Name of Love

This special one shot is dedicated to LillianDuncan Happy RoyalFlame day......a day late.....sorry XD

"Do the kids have everything they need?!" Cinder asked.

"Yes dear," Charlie said.

"Are you sure?! What if we forgot something?!" Cinder was beginning to panic.

Charlie chuckled and gave Cinder a hug, "Cinder our kids are fine. We left them with everything they need and if by some chance we did forget something I'm sure Jenni can take care of it."

Cinder sighed, "You're right. I'm sorry this is just the first time in a while I've been away from them. And I know it's only for a night but still...."

To call Cinder a "helicopter parent" was a bit of an understatement. The mistralian woman hated being away from her children even for a second, which is why she refused to leave them, even with her little sister Jenni, until she was absolutely sure her three kids had everything they could need for a night.

She hadn't even wanted to go out tonight but her husband Charlie insisted. After all it was their second wedding anniversary.

That's right it had been two full years since Charlie and Cinder had tied the knot. Ironically when they first met Cinder had pushed Charlie away, she claimed that a relationship, let alone a friendship, was never going to work. In her eyes she was too ugly to be with someone as handsome as the former atlesian prince.

If I told you this was only gonna hurt. If I warned you that the fire's gonna burn. Would you walk in? Would you let me do it first? Do it all in the name of love.

Many people still teased Charlie for his relationship with Cinder but he didn't care. Scars or no scars he loved Cinder with every ounce of his being. She was the only one for him. He would do anything for her.

Would you let me lead you even when you're blind? In the darkness, in the middle of the night. In the silence when there's no one by your side. Would you call in the name of love?

When they first began dating Cinder had to trust that Charlie truly did love her. Even though he told her numerous times she always thought he was lying. But eventually her walls came down and she allowed herself to get close to him.

If I told you we could bathe in all the lights. Would you rise up, come and meet me in the sky? Would you trust me when you're jumping from the heights? Would you fall in the name of love?

Of course their relationship hadn't been perfect. They had their occasional fights as all couples did and there were some nights when Cinder would be sobbing for hours due to her depression and anxiety. And all Charlie could do was hold her in his arms.

When there's madness, when there's poison in your head. When the sadness leaves you broken in your bed. I will hold you in the depths of your despair and it's all in the name of love.

Despite all of that though the two of them couldn't be happier. They had a wonderful marriage, three beautiful children, and a great family to turn to if they ever needed anything. Yep life was pretty great.

Charlie held Cinder's hand as they walked together. Cinder laid her head on her husband's shoulder.

I wanna testify. Scream in the holy light. You bring me back to life. And it's all in the name of love.

As Charlie and Cinder headed out on their date, with the light from the shattered moon above shining down on them, they both knew this was a night they would not soon forget.
