A ship had travelled far from 'cross the sea

And man stepped forth upon this island shore

One hundred years have passed, now here I be

Last of my kind, alone, the rest no more

The sands of time run dry to lay my egg

There's nothing in this life I would not give

Appealing to his nature I would beg

I'd give my life so next in line could live

The other's died with hope within their hearts

And dreamed a future they could not foresee

When nature intervenes and life restarts

Their hopes and aspirations die with me

Now here I lay, death rising on the brink

As clubs swing down, the Dodo's now extinct
