A few hours earlier
LongJun sat down in the throne room, looking over his reports. He could barely concentrate.
YuLong.
He tried to tear his thoughts away from her. He squeezed his eyes shut and then opened them again
If she doesn't love you, don't force her. He told himself again and again. But why was it so hard to be away from her?
"Your majesty."
LongJun looked up to find Minister Kang.
"What is it?"
The Minister smirked, "I have someone you might like to meet."
LongJun's eyes widened as a small army of soldiers had their swords out in front of him.
"Minister Kang, what is the meaning of this?" LongJun asked calmly.
Minister Kang held a sword to LongJun's neck, "You are not fit to rule the empire."
"And you are?" LongJun chuckled as he swiftly took the sword, "Tell me; what are your qualifications?"
The Minister's face turned red with anger. "Attack!"
The army turned out to be a bunch of drunken farmers in armor. LongJun scoffed, what a waste.
Within a few minutes, the 'army' was dead, along with the minister.
LongJun dropped the sword, left the throne room and entered the courtyard.
"What do you want?" he said to a man in black.
The man smirked, "The minister wasn't the leader of the rebellion. I am."
"Well it was a poor excuse of a rebellion, and a poor excuse of an introduction."
The man unsheathed his sword, "That wasn't my army. I won't bring my army out unless we go to war. And you're not fit for a proper introduction."
LongJun chuckled, "And you plan to kill me now?"
Many others came out beside the man in black.
"Why not?"
They attacked ruthlessly. LongJun struggled to fight back.
They cut him many times, LongJun knew they were taunting him.
LongJun turned around as the man in black buried his sword in his chest.
"Your majesty!" a few eunuchs cried.
Upon hearing the eunuchs, the men ran.
He crumbled to the ground, everywhere hurt. LongJun tried to cry for help. But all that came out was a hoarse whisper. He choked as his entire world went black.

Sorry for the short chapter! But this was just to tell what happened to LongJun. I don't usually write this little in a chapter, but I figured that this whole scene should have its own Chapter. Don't worry though, the rest of my Chapters, with an exception of one or two, will be at least double this length.
