Jordan's POV:
"I still can't believe you're leaving in the morning," Ty's words are jumbled around the spaghetti noodles hanging from her mouth. She'd made me promise to make her favorite food before I left.
"I know, these last four days flew by," I murmur, twirling my fork in the pasta. Of course, I'm too hyped up and nervous to eat. The mixture of fear, sadness and excitement make my stomach quiver and my mind spin.
"Jo, you're gonna have shitty airplane food tomorrow and junk from airports. You need to eat," Tyler cautions, following my thoughts like she always manages to do.
"I'll eat breakfast in the morning," I dismiss her worries, pulling out my phone and checking the replies to Luke's tweet from two days ago.
' @Luke5SOS: can't wait to have the most badass merch manager any tour has ever seen, get ready for her and say hi if you see her pre show! @jordansky3 '
Most the recent replies are just older fans explaining to new fans who I am, and the constant feed of "LUCAS FOLLOW ME" and "LUCAS HAVE MY BABIES" mixed in.
With a grin, I remember the day I decided to be 'real life twitter' and followed Luke around his backyard for a solid hour yelling "LUKE HEMMINGS YOU'RE MY SUNSHINE FOLLOW ME TO MAKE MY LIFE PLS BBY ILY" amongst other common tweets until he'd ended up pushing me in the pool.
"Anybody home?" Tyler's voice breaks through the memory.
"S-sorry what? Zoned out," I recover, training my eyes on hers.
"I said your flight leaves at 3 in the morning, you aren't gonna be anymore that half awake, much less ready to eat breakfast," she teases.
"Wait, whose driving me to the airport?" I begin to panic, running through the schedule in my head. Flight from Sydney to Hong Kong International with an hour layover, then onward to Dublin, Ireland for opening the tour.
"Luke's already ordered you a driver, he'll be here at 2," she shakes her head with a little laugh. "I'm glad one of us has it all straight."
"So that means we have to say goodbye tonight huh," I murmur, the words sticking in the back of my throat.
"Yeah, I'd like a proper goodbye from not morning zombified- Jo," she grins, but it fades into a small half smile of sadness covered up for my sake. "But first, I have a surprise for you."
"Oooo, ahhhh," I fill in the sound effects, waiting patiently. Ty swirls some more noodles on her fork, then picks them up, lifting them in the air and making dramatic zoom noises as she sends it towards my mouth.
"Here comes the airplane," she sings. As I laugh she takes the opportunity to shove the now cold noodles in my mouth, making me laugh even harder until we both have tears sneaking out of the corner of our eyes.
She gives up on trying to get me to eat, after muttering a 'feel like a fuckin mother with a rebel child' and taking my plate to empty in the trashcan.
"C'mon, lets move your bags out here in the hall so you don't forget anything in the morning," she suggests, helping you lug your two giant suitcases out in the hall.
"Shit, I almost forgot!" Ty exclaims, running into her room and emerging with a black envelope. Written in her messy scrawl is 'Jordan Sky Morrison'.
"You wrote me a letter?" I question quietly, running my finger over the top of the envelope.
"Now you have to promise me you won't read that until I tell you too. I put some special stuff in there I only want you to read when I'm not here to see your reaction. I told Lucas about it too, he'll be my little blonde spy," she teases, taking the letter back and laying my suitcase down, rummaging and sticking it at the very bottom.
I feel my hidden tears begin to pressure me from behind my eyes, making my throat tighten as Ty zips the case back up. It's becoming all too real that I'll be on the other side of the world from my best friend in just a little under a day.
"Promise?"
"Of course," I choke out, my voice cracking.
"Hey hey, none of that. I'm not spending my last night with my best friend and having her blubber into my shoulder like in all the shitty chick flicks," she hugs me, giving me time to pull myself back together.
"Come in here, there's a America's Next Top Model marathon on all night, we'll watch it until one of us falls asleep," she smiles warmly. I grab the container of oreos out of the cabinet, just like always and go snuggle up with my best friend. My phone vibrates, a text popping up from Luke.
-See you in the morning. Get some sleep, love you. IM SO EXCITED
With a smile, I lock my phone and cuddle closer to Ty, no words needed to know this was our way of saying goodbye for now.

SHE LOOKS SO PERFECT STANDIN' THERE
I awake with a start, desperately pushing any button on my phone I can to get it to shut up. I'm under the covers, and as last night rushes back to me I realize Ty must have carried me to bed last night.
And set my god damn blasting alarm.
The white numbers on my phone read '1:30am'. With a groan, I rub my eyes, swinging my legs off the side of the bed.
I trudge to the bathroom, brushing my teeth and throwing my hair in a messy bun on the top of my head. Gaining a bit of energy, I swipe on minimal makeup before heading back to my room and sliding on leggings, a Foo Fighters tee shirt with a crewneck thrown over it, vans and my burgundy vans.
I'd thought I was moving fast, but the clock that now reads 1:55 tells me otherwise. A pang in my stomach makes me want to go wake Ty up and give her one more hug, but as I approach the door I see a sticky note shining against the white paint.
"I love you and all but if you wake me up ill kick your ass to Ireland and it won't matter that you're probably already about to miss your flight. Love you, I'll be fine. Call me when you land," it reads.
Even though I hear a faint sound of movement in the room, a car horn outside warns me that if I don't go now, I won't go at all.
"Bye Ty, I love you," I whisper, taking one last glance before heading out of my apartment.

The ride to the airport is calm already considering there's no one on the roads, but the smooth jazz the driver is playing isn't helping my grogginess in the slightest.
My worry of having trouble finding the boys fades as soon as I walk through the automatic doors.
Calum's manning a trolley that's meant for bags but is instead occupied by a rather cuddly looking Michael Clifford, his green hair looking fluffier than usual. Ash is loading all the bags up to the scale, arm muscles working under the skin. A helpful attendant with a smile too big for 2:15am on her face is helping him, and Ash is beaming right back.
"Morning," Luke appears beside me, making me jump. "You take these, I'll take those." My hands are soon filled with two coffee cups from starbucks, one with a L, one with a J. Luke takes my bags, rolling them with ease through the line markers and presenting them to Ash before bounding back over to me, Michael in tow.
"Joooo," Michael exclaims. I meet his eyes and he pauses in front of me.
"2:15. No touchy," I gesture to myself, walking past him, too tired to smile as I hear Luke busting out into laughter behind my back.
"This should be interesting," Luke mumbles, coming up and taking his coffee from my hand, both of us taking a long drink at the same time before starting the days travel.
