Luke's POV:

The meeting went smoothly, though the entire time I was having flashbacks to year 6 when Jordan still cared about school as she scribbled down notes on a scrap piece of paper, meaning I didn't catch most of what management was telling us, though I'm sure it was important.

"So all you'll have to do is unload the merch for 5sos from the buses and set up, Justin and Emma are the ones who actually sell pre and post show, and they offered to set up for 1D," I watch as management speaks directly to Jordan for the first time. She waves shyly at the pair sitting on the other side of the room.

Justin smiles over at her, his brown hair quiffed up like mine. He's changed his nose ring since I saw him on the last tour; instead of silver it's black. He notices me staring so I look away quickly at Emma.

She's beaming, and I can't blame her. Her bright red lipstick-coated lips are stretched over bright white teeth as she waves back at Jordan. Besides Lou, she was literally the only girl on tour. I rack my brain to try and remember how old she is; 19 I think.

"Wait- that's it? I just have to set up the table and unload some shirts? That's really all I have to do?" Jordan seems quite astounded really as she gets her job description, which I guess is understandable.

Even though Jordan could have anything she wanted based on her bank account her parents were constantly filling, she never just let things be given to her. She'd had a job since she was 15; after pestering her boss enough, considering he only hired 16 year olds and above. Her jobs were never easy either. It was something I'd admired about her ever since we were little.

And now here she is, getting a free ride around the world with a job that involves working about 20 minutes a day, and spending the rest of the time with her best friends. I'm surprised she's not doing her victory dance.

Yeah, she has one of those.

It's quite cute actually.

"Luke? You ready?" Jordan pulls me out of my thoughts. Her paper is tucked under her arm, one smooth eyebrow quirked up as she waits for an answer.

"Yeah, yeah sorry," I shake my head slightly, coming back to reality and standing up, noticing the meeting has ended. I follow her out the door, watching the little pep in her step as she exits towards the parking lot. Dusk has fallen over Sydney as I approach the Jeep. Due to her head start, she manages to make it to the drivers seat before I do.

With a sassy smirk, she holds her hands out expectantly. Reluctantly, I fish the keys from my jeans pocket and drop them in her hand.

"Why thank you kind sir," I stick my tongue out her as she wiggles her eyebrows, getting in and starting the car. Our mixtape starts blaring again, getting the attention of the rest of the guys, who are fighting over who has to squeeze into the back of Ashton's car since he gave them all a ride here.

"You guys up for some icecream?" Ash calls over the music. Jordan answers before I can, giving an enthusatic nod. "Ben and Jerry's?"

"We'll meet you there!" Jordan yells back as I close the door behind me. She's a quick driver, making her way through the late city traffic. I watch her smile, eyes bright with the street light as she jams out to the rest of the music I picked for the mixtape so many years ago until we pull up to the ice cream shop.

The boys are already inside, waiting in line at the counter, all of their arms crossed.

Jordan strides into the shop, shivering slightly. I can't imagine her outfit is very warm; high waisted jean shorts and a green-ombre tank top. She approaches the line, mocking their stances. All of them are too intent on the menu to notice, but it makes me laugh and that seems to be enough for her.
