Chapter 7

Audition day

I woke up at 10:30 pm thanks to my alarm, I got out of bed and went downstairs in my pjs, I said morning to Mikasa and Armin and ate with them as the puppies ate their food with us. I finished, changed the water in Corporal's bowl, he drank some of the water then followed me to my room, I sat on my bed and grabbed his brush. He got on my lap and I groomed him for about an hour, he jumped off my lap and I grabbed the little scissors for pups nails and sat back on my bed, he came back on my lap and let me cut his nails better say claws. After I finished that it was already 12:03 am, I put the brush and scissors back in place, then I got my pjs off and changed, but not into my performance clothes yet.

I went downstairs with Corporal following me, I put him on a leash and we went for a walk, I played with him in the park for a while and by the time we got home it was already 2:47 pm.

I had to get ready and fast, I went to the bathroom and showered then I brushed my teeth and went back to my room where I changed into my audition clothes, but the straps took a bit longer than expected and by time I was done and got my combat boots on it was 4:13 pm.

'Shit if I don't go now I'm gonna be late for the sign up' I thought as I grabbed my backpack, put my phone, keys, a water bottle, extra clothes and my bandages in my backpack, I went downstairs "I'm leaving, bye guys!" I yelled to Mikasa and Armin as I got to the door "Eren take Corporal with you, we won't be home, we'll be coming to the auditions too a bit later!" Armin called back 'Damn it' I hurried and got Corporal then I left the house called a taxist and went to Shinganshina arena.

I payed the taxist and ran into the arena and went backstage where I was greeted by Erwin "Hey...Erwin" I was panting slightly from rushing "You okay Eren?" he asked "Yeah just peachy" I said as I caught my breath "Alright then, come on you're just in time for sign ups" he said and we walked in. I got signed up and got the number 23, I went and stretched in a corner as I saw a whole lot of people here, Erwin said that it was fine for Corporal to be here as long as someone can hold on to him while I preform.

I stretched and relaxed for the time being, I practiced some of my dance routine as the others did as well.

After a couple minutes the band came backstage and everyone stopped to look at them, some people even approached them except for me I stretched a bit more "I'm guessing none of you really want to be in the band if you're not focused as him" I heard the singer say as he pointed my direction, I was still stretching a bit as everyone looked at me. I looked at them and saw the singer pointing my direction, never the less I continued, the others then went back to their spots and did their stretches as the band went on stage, I heard the crowd yell and scream their name.

"Today we are here to witness some auditions" I heard the singer and I'm pretty sure everyone else was listening too "And you guys will help us pick our new singer darlings" H said "But first we're going to sing an opening for you guys for being here with us" the singer said and I heard the lights go off as the crowd went louder, I heard the lights go back on and the singer started singing, I payed no attention since I had earbuds in my ears as I focused on the song I'm gonna sing.

I got my earbuds out and listened as the band finished their song "Okay now we're gonna sit at the fron of the stage at the table you see in front of you" the singer said to the crowd of fans "And we're gonna start calling out people, remember you need to have bandages on you so no one recognizes you" the singer than added, I grabbed the bandages from my backpack, I breathed as I looked at them, I held them in my hand as I waited for my turn.

//Time skip after about an hour and thirty minutes maybe more because of the questioning of the band brought to you by the singer's bandages//

"Number 23" I was called out, I told Corporal to stay until I finish, I took a deep breath and tied the bandages around my eyes as I got on stage with the mic on my head. I got to the center as the light went out, by my intention, I got into position and the lights went back on, I took a deep breath before the song started, I started dancing, taking my jacket at the beginning off and throwing it somewhere on stage but I knew it was far away enough so I wouldn't step on it and fall.
