Quil and Jade had walked to his house so he could quickly change and then they made their way down the road hand-in-hand. As they near her house she turns around with a sigh.
"My mom doesn't like you. She thinks I'm too good for you. When she's wrong because you are perfect for me in every way." Jade says and Quil laughs.
"I know Jade. She looked at me like I was a piece of trash. Your dad is nice and seemed to like me. That's all that matters." Quil replies, kissing the top of her head.
"Ok." Jade mumbles and pulls him up her driveway, and to the door.
Jade opens the door and spots her mom on the coach reading some sort of home design magazine. Christine looks up and scowls slightly before standing and putting on a fake smile.
"Nice to see you again." Christine says in a fake tone and Quil gives her an awkward smile.
"You too." He mumbles.
"Come on Quil. We'll go see my dad now." Jade says and Quil nods.
He follows Jade through the living room and into the kitchen.
"Dad we're here." Jade says and James turns around a small smile on his face.
"It's nice to see you again Quil!" James greets, shaking Quil's hand and smiling at him.
"How have you two been? Anything I should know about?" James says as if he's hinting to something and laughing when they blush.
"I'm just kidding. I trust you two. Although if you two do anything like that just make sure you use protection." James says and Jade groans.
"Dad! We haven't done anything and we won't do anything soon!" Jade exclaims with a small pout.
"Y- Yeah. That's f-for marriage." Quil adds and James smiles.
"I like him. You better keep him." James says and Jade nods.
"I intend to." Jade replies.
"You two go hang out. Door open though." James says and Jade nods, grabbing Quil's hand.
Jade drags him up a flight of stairs and continues to lead him straight down the hall and up another flight of stairs before opening her bedroom door and walking in.
"Here we are." Jade mumbles and Quil smiles.
"It smells like you." Quil mumbles into Jade's neck and she giggles at the way it tickles her skin.
"What exactly is that?" Jade asks and Quil smiles, turning her around and grabbing her hips while resting his forehead against hers.
"Vanilla and roses." Quil replies and Jade smiles softly at him, grabbing his face.
They lean in at the same time and kiss. It's a soft and passionate kiss that doesn't last long, but leaves them both in a daze.
"I truly love you." Quil whispers and Jade giggles.
"I truly love you too." Jade whispers back and wraps her arms around his waist.
Quil rests his chin on the top of Jade's head, quickly kissing it while they stand there in each others embrace. She backs him up until they are laying on her bed cuddling. Jade and Quil close their eyes and take a deep breath. They both jump in shock when they hear an angry and surprised gasp.
"What is this?" Christine asks angrily and Jade rolls her eyes.
"It's called cuddling mother." Jade replies in a bored tone and Christine scoffs about to say something when they hear James.
"Dinner's ready!" James hollers and Christine angrily exits Jade's room.
Jade and Quil sigh before she grabs his hand and leads him downstairs and into the dining room. She sits down and Quil sits next to her. James senses the tension and clears his throat as they start eating.
"So how is everyone?" James asks and Jade looks at him.
"I'm fine." Jade replies and Quil agrees.
Christine just sits silently glaring at Quil and James sighs.
"Christine stop glaring at the poor boy." James says and Christine looks at him in annoyance.
"Fine." Christine mumbles and continues eating.
All four people sitting at the table sit in an awkward silence until Jade sighs placing her fork on her plate and looks at her mom.
"Why don't you like him mom? I'm happy for once in my life, but you have to try and take that away from. You don't want me to be happy. I love him mom. It's as simple as that. You can't tell me that you didn't act this way with dad because your mom was just like you. You've become your mom whether you want to believe it or not." Jade said and Christine gapes at Jade.
Christine opens her mouth to say something, but closes her mouth and sighs, putting her head down.
"You're right." Christine mumbles and she looks up a look of guilt on her face.
"If you're happy you can be with him. I never meant to make you to feel this way." Christine says and Jade smiles standing up quickly and walking around the table to her mom and wrapping her arms around her.
"Thank you mom." Jade mumbles and Christine smiles, wrapping her arms around her daughter.
"I love you." Christine mumbles and Jade smiles even wider, tightening her arms.
"I love you too." Jade replies and James, along with Quil, sit there staring at the two with a smile.
The mother and daughter duo let go and Jade goes back to her seat, grabbing Quil's hand.
"You're a good boy Quil." Christine says and Quil smiles at her.
"Thank you ma'am." Quil replies and Christine smiles at him.
"Why don't you two go hang out in your room." Christine says and Jade grabs Quil's hand, leading him to her room.
"I'm so glad your mom approves of us sweetheart." Quil says and Jade blushes.
"Sweetheart?" Jade asks and Quil smiles, taking a step towards her.
"Are you nervous about me giving you my own nickname for you?" Quil mumbles teasingly and Jade blushes even more.
"I-I mean yeah, but it is just unexpected. I like it." Jade replies and Quil chuckles.
"Good." Quil says as he leads Jade to her bed laying on his back and inviting her to crawl on top of him and enter his arms.
"Goddamn I love you Quil." Jade says and he smiles widely.
"Well I guess it's good I love you too." Quil replies in a whisper beside her ear and she shivers.
"You should head home." Jade mumbles with a sigh and Quil chuckles.
"How about I come walk with you in the morning?" Quil suggests and Jade nods.
"I'd like that." Jade replies.
A/N: I'm a sucker for happy endings to things so I had to make her and her moms relationship fixed. This however is not the last chapter.
