"Jessy get your fat ass out of the bed!! Don't make me come up there because I will!!!"

I painfully got out of the bed and shuffle to my bathroom to get ready for anther day of being invisible. I wash my face and cover up some spots around my face and neck. I put on a long-sleeve shirt, jeans and some sneakers. I grabbed my backpack and run down the stairs and opened the door before my dad got me.

"Jessy!!!" Damn I thought I could make it, but I don't most of the time. I closed the door and walked to the dirt filled room you call a kitchen. There sat my dad drinking coffee. He walked over to me and placed his hand on my face; I flinched.

"I'm sorry, but next time clean the goddamn kitchen when I tell you to got it." He grabbed my chin to look at him. "Will you do as I say next time?" I nod not trusting my voice. "Good now get to school before your late, and when I get back from work this house better be clean." He let's go of my chin and I ran out the door to school.

Sometimes I wish mom was here. Dad said she died when I was young and burned all the pictures or any thing that reminded him of her, but I found one picture of her. I found it in the attic when I was hiding from my dad. I keep it in my pillow so when dad does his inspection in my room he'll never find it.

I never liked school. I did well in school but I'm a loner or is invisible. No one notices me; I sit in the back of the class get my work done, go to my next class and do the same. I walk up to the school: North-Way High School. It's a highly prestige high school. Everybody here are rich and bitchy. How am I here? My dad is a lawyer; best one in the state. He is amazing at his job but shitty at being a father. I hate him.

As I'm walking to my classroom I bump into someone and my books fall from my hands.

"Sorry I didn't see where I was going and I trying to find my classroom I new here" he ramble while picking up my books and giving them to me. I didn't say anything. Nobody and I mean nobody ever talks to me. "I'm Lucas" he takes out his hand for me to shake. I slowly take his hand and shake it.

"Jessy" I whisper.

"Do you know where room 115 is?" I have that class: English.

I nod, "it down here I also have that class" we walk to the classroom right after the bell rings. Damn I was hoping to come in unnoticed.

Ms. Montgomery why are you late?" My teacher asks, before I get to answer, Lucas answers first.

"I'm sorry I bumped into her on my why to class. She is helping me get to class I'm new here." The teacher nodded and I quietly slipped into my seat in the back.

"Well you must be Lucas welcome you can take the empty seat in the back." I blinked the only empty seat in the classroom and it happens to be right next to mine. "Let's begin"

****

He is in 4 out of 7 classes I have. Not even that but he sits next to me in all of them; always striking up a conversation. Thank god he didn't sit with me during lunch. He sat with a group girls who were practically throwing them selfs at him and some guys. I am to spend the next two years just like the rest of years alone and no one talking to me. Ever since elementary no one has ever made an effort to talk to me except one person but she left me for another group and never talked to me again. Even if I had friends they could never come over to where I live. My dad drinks and gets angry. I never made an effort to make friends anyway.

Lucas is going to stop trying to talk to me after today. It's his first day here and after today I will be just another person to him and get ignored. No one knows or cares what happens to me not even the teachers. Even though I get straight A's they never call on me which I'm grateful for.
