"Where are we going?" I called after the Doctor who was running full speed back to the market.
"Anywhere you want!" He took a sharp corner into the store, sprinting towards storage room. I stopped running.
"Thanks for the specifics!" I sighed inwardly and rushed after Doctor Who. Once I get to the storage room, a blue police box begins to get into my line of vision. "Guessing that's the TARDIS." I mumbled as he unlocked the door and pushed the door open. I read the sign outside one of the doors and asked, "Aren't you supposed to pull to open?" I pointed at the sign.
"Humans don't think second of it. Allons-y!" He climbed inside quickly and I began to think, How the hell are we both supposed to fit in that? I circled the box examining to see if there were any trapped doors to different locations. "Are you coming? Or are you getting second thoughts?" I heard the Doctor call.
"No!" I yelled. "No, no I'm going!" I ran into the police box and my jaw dropped. "No way..." The blue box was like 7 times the size it looked like on the outside. It was incredible! "This... This is..."
"Incredible? Marvelous?" The Doctor answered for me, his hands in the deep pockets of the brown coat he was wearing.
"Crazy!"
"Not exactly what I was expecting..." He strode towards me.
"No, don't get me wrong, it is all those things," The Doctor smiled. "but I never thought this would ever happen to me. My life sucks balls so I'm not sure what to think." The Doctor frowned.
"I'm sorry to hear that," He pivoted on the heels of his feet and started pulling random levers and pressing random buttons. "So, Emily," He told me. "Where would you like to go?" He smirked. I tapped my chin, setting my book bag on the floor next to door.
"Would love to give my 'family' a visit, but I doubt you could do that, Doctor." He looked at me and grinned joyfully. He gripped a large lever and smiled.
"Try me," He yanked the lever down and I dropped to floor as if gravity was increasing on my body. I felt like I was in a broken elevator that was zooming upwards 50 miles per hour. The Doctor was laughing crazily as he watched me struggle to get up onto my feet. His laugh was so contagious I couldn't help but laugh with him. I started chuckling so badly, I tripped over myself and accidently tackled the Doctor onto the ground. So there we were, laughing like complete idiots on the floor of the TARDIS.
Once we got ourselves together, I realized the situation we were in. I looked down at him and gasped, stumbling backwards than to me feet. I grabbed his hand and helped the Doctor up.
"Thanks," I said shyly. I had no clue what was going on with me because I was never shy.
"Why?"
"For making me laugh," I answered. "I haven't had a good laugh like that in ages. Thanks."
He smiled. It seemed to me that this man got easily excited and was normally very smug. "It was my pleasure." I sat down criss-cross on the ground and we were both there silent. I was anxious to break the silence.
"I like your accent." I said. Being from Florida, I didn't meet that many people with a British accent.
"I like yours. Americans say thing so bizarrely."
"I say the same about Britains." My lip twitched.
"Well, I guess we have more in common than you think." He grinned. I felt a thud under our feet and a strange sound.
"That sound makes me think you leave the brakes on when you go places." I laughed. He smiled.
"That's because I do. Come, we are here."
"How'd you know where they were?" I raised an eyebrow.
"I'm a Timelord. Let's just say I know... Everything! Now allons-y! I believe you family is in need of a piece of your mind." The Doctor winked at me causing my stomach to get butterflies. No, no, shut up! I said to myself Anyone! It could have been anyone but you choose him! Great!
"Okay then," I said. "Let's go."
