"Spain is a lot dirtier than I expected." I inquired as I stepped out of the TARDIS. There was cow and horse manure across the roads and people that seemed like they were covered in diseases scrambled around. Doctor smiled and took a deep breath through his nose.

  "Beautiful, isn't it?" He sighed.

"Still better than my house." I shrugged. I watched as a beagle puppy wobbled up to my feet, tail wagging. The Doctor is still looking around, not even noticing the dog. I bent over and scratched behind it's ears. "Well, aren't you precious!" I told the puppy.

The Doctor chuckled. He ran his hand through his messy hair. "I have been moisturizing. I-"

"I was talking about the dog, you nincompoop." I rolled my eyes and averted my attention back to the beagle.

"Oh... Right..." He mumbled. I picked up the pup in my arms and looked to the Doctor, smiling innocently.

"Can we keep 'im? Can we, can we, please?!" I begged while making my best puppy dog face. Doctor looked up, not even bothering to look at me.

"No." He said simply. I stood on my tippy toes trying to get him to look at me.

  "Pleeeeeeeeeease?"

"Put the dog down and let's go." He said sternly. I sniffed and set the puppy down onto the floor.

"I'll call you... Marley." I looked up at the Doctor and he gave me an Are-You-Serious look. I shrugged. "I watch movies. So what?" I let the puppy go and he scurried off. I stood up to follow the alien dude. I grabbed the Doctor's hand and held on tight. We walked around, looking for the shore line. I glanced to my left and saw something dissapear.

"Did you see that?" I asked. The Doctor followed my gaze and his eyebrows furrowed.

"See what?" He said and put the tip of his tongue to the roof of his mouth.

I shook my head. "Nothing. I'm just seeing things." We continued and I saw the figure right before it dissapeared again. It looked like something that I've seen in my dreams, but I couldn't quite but my finger on it. I brushed it off once again.

"You seem a bit jumpy. Is everything alright?" Doctor Who nudged my shoulder. I nodded reluctantly.

"Yeh, I'm... Let's just... Find those boats already." After a few minutes of walking around, we finally arrived at the sea wall, where 3 boats were afloat; The Niña, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria. They were absolutely gorgeous!

"'ere they are!" The Doctor exclaimed with excitement. "Allons-y! Let's go!" He began running to the dock where hundreds of men were filing on.

"Wait for me!" I ran after him. I finally caught up and passed him. I took deep breaths as I ran to the edge of the mounting dock.

When the Doc caught up, he was in complete shock. "How'd you run that fast? I'm the athletic one in this relationship!"

"One: We don't have a relationship and Two: I ran track in middle school and most of high school." I winked at him when reality smacked me in the face.

  Literally.

I got slapped by one of the soldiers who were letting the others enter the Santa Maria. I fell to my knees and felt my face, the Doctor kneeling next to me.

"Women are not allowed on this carriage." The soldier said with a deep voice. I stood onto my feet and rolled my my sleeve.

"Why I 'oughta-" I was stopped by the Doctor pulling back at my shoulders. I cracked my neck and stood silently next to him. Doc pulled out a wallet type thing and flipped it open towards the soldier.

"I am the Doctor, the medic of this fine vessel and this is my assistant, Madame Johnson. Now, if you will excuse us, we must get our tools ready to heal your sick soldiers when needed." He said without taking a single breath. The soldier stood wide-eyed.

"I'm so terribly sorry for the misunderstanding, Miss." He then gestured for us to move forward. I glared at the soldier and punched the palm of my left hand and scowled, following the Doctor close behind.

Doctor then stopped me and examined my face thoroughly. "Are you alright? He seemed to have hit you pretty hard." I smacked his hand away.

"Quit babying me, I'm fine. Hey, what was on that paper you showed that soldier dude?" Doc handed me the wallet and I opened it.

"It's psychic paper. Shows the person looking at it what they want to see." He explained. I looked at the entire thing, trying to see what he was talking about.

"But it's blank." I told him. Doctor snatched it back and looked at it.

"But I have it set to medic. How do you not see it?" I shrugged.

"I just don't. Maybe it doesn't work for me."

"You are just like Shakespeare. He was too brilliant to see it. I guess you are too."

"No, I'm not. Didn't you see what happened at home? I didn't get into the community college."

The Doctor did the tongue thing again. "Yeah, why is that?" I shrugged, knowing exactly why I didn't get in.

On the exam they gave me, I got all the answers correct, I just have such a terrible background; punching a teacher in middle school because she was using favoritism towards the popular kids, flipping my gym coach onto his back because he was pushing me to the limit when training for track in high school. There were so many other things, I just couldn't tell him because he might've wanted to leave me here like my parents did.

I never wanted that to happen again.
