"Where are you taking me?" I asked him as he closed the TARDIS door behind me.
"Nowhere in particular. I just wanted to calm you down." He said leaning on the control panels of the TARDIS.
"Oh, poo. I was all hyped up to go somewhere incredible." I pouted. He smirked.
"You're almost as childish as I am. Well, you wanted to go somewhere incredible so why not go somewhere completely impossible?" He said getting really close to me and looking down at my face. I looked up at him and shrugged.
"I don't know. You're the professional here, so you choose." I smiled.
He smiled back and said, "Hold on." The Doctor started pressing buttons and pulling levers. As he did that, I had one important question to ask him.
"What's the best part of time traveling?"
And of course, he answered, "The running is pretty great." And he gave me a large smile. "Hold on tight." The Doctor pulled the largest lever right before I could grab on to the railing. I fell to the floor and yelled in frustration.
"Seriously?! Again?!" I latched onto the rails and pulled myself up to my feet. "I'm going to need to get used to that, ugh." The Doctor laughed at my pain I was finally able to stabilize my feet after a few minutes. I stood up, dusted my arms and legs off and acted like nothing just happened.
"So," I told the Doctor. "Where are we going?"
"It's a surprise."
"But I don't like surprises!" I stomped my foot.
"But you told me to choose where to go!"
"That doesn't mean that you can't tell me where we're going!"
"I thought I was traveling with a twenty year old, not a seven year!" The Doctor yelled at me, obviously frustrated. I crossed my arms angrily and turned my back to him, sitting down on the metal bench. "You are such a hard-headed girl!"
"Hmph." I whipped my hair.
"You won't break me, you do realize that?" I could feel the Doctor glaring at my back. I tilted my head upwards a bit, my eyes still closed. "I'm not kidding, Emily. Get over here." He growled.
"You can't make me." I said like a child. Man, I was such a manipulator.
"Oh, yes I can!" He grabbed my waist and lifted me over the bench; I'm standing completely still, no scrambling, no squirming, completely still. It looked like he was picking up a maniquin. He put me down, turned me to face him and stared down at my face with his hands stuffed in his suit pockets. "Okay," He said. "We are going to Spain in 1492."
I looked into his eyes. "You mean with Christopher Columbus? With the Niña, Pinta, and Santa Maria?" He nodded. "Oh my gods, that's amazing!"
He closed his eyes and shook his head. "You just said gods."
"Yeah. I did."
"As in...?"
"Greek Gods."
"Ah."
"Okay, quit talking. I'm still mad at you."
