Chapter 16

After a quite ride home, i walked into my room and dropped my bag falling face first into my bed. I screamed at the top of my lungs pushing the pillow in my face so it was muffled. I herd my door open and looked out from my pillow and i saw Axel and Dagen looking panicked, Mrs. Serein be-hide them looking confused. "What?" I asked. "We herd you scream" Dagen and Axel said in sync. "I'm fine i just fell" I said. Dagen and Axel looked at each-other and the adults left. I turned away. "You seem frustrated" Axel said. I stayed quite then said "When am i not?" I said then i grabbed my phone and looked at the time. I have work..I got up and looked through my closet. I grabbed some jeans and a sweat shirt. I looked at Axel, "Out" I said. "Why?" He asked. "Cause i need to change" I said. "So? You always change when i'm in the room, whats different?" He asked. "I you, your its, different, out!" I said and pushed him out slamming the door, there was a thud on the other side of the door i ignored it. I sighed and started to change, i took off my shirt and then the door slammed open. Axel walked in holding his nose which was all bloody. I screamed from the door being slammed open. 

"Whats your problem?" He said. "Out!" I said holding my jacket in-front of my body. "Are you injured? You shouldn't hide your wounds Atara let me see!" He said and started to walked towards me. "No, you can't!" I said walking backwards. "Why are you acting so strange?" Axel asked. "Wheres Dagen? Or Mrs. Serein!?" I thought. I then caught a glimpse of the two outside, Mrs. Serein was outside covering her plants with a cover Dagen helping her. I then felt my jacket being taken from my hands, i panicked and punched Axels face but he caught my fist. "Let me see your wounds!" Axel said. "I dont have any wou-" I cut my self off as i fell onto my bed. I panicked and Axel hovered of me. I stared at him with shock. "Atara dear cou-" I looked at my door and saw Mrs. Serein. "What the hell do you think your doing!?" She yelled she wielded a sword in her hand. Axel looked at her with a confused face i pushed him off, which led to him falling off the bed. "No no no no no, its not like what your think!" I said in panic. Dagen walked up and looked around, his face landed towards Axel who was dusting himself off. Then at me. He looked at Axel again and ran over to him pinning him to the wall. "Dagen ah wait no!" I said. "What the hell do you think your doing?" Dagen said glaring at Axel.

"What do you mean? I was checking Atara, she was acting weird so i thought she had wounds or something!" Axel said struggling against Dagens grip. "What a bunch of-" I cut off Dagen. I putt my jacket on. "He was just being an idiot, he didn't know what he was doing" I said. Dagen dropped Axel and walked away but patting my head along the way, he sent a glare at Axel. Mrs. Serein was fanning her face and walked away with Dagen. I watched him leave "What did i do?" Axel asked. "More then you know" I said sighing. I finished changing in my bathroom and grabbed my purse, i looked around for my phone "Where are you going?" Axel asked laying on my bed playing with my phone. I walked over and grabbed it out of his hands, "Work" I said and putt my phone in my purse. "Can i come" He asked. "No" I said. He grabbed my hands and looked at me "Please?" He said giving my puppy dog eyes. "No" I said again. He then morphed in his puppy form. "Please?" He said again. "No" I said and walked out of my room. "Come on Atara" He said running up to me. I walked down the stairs into the kitchen, i grabbed an apple and banana. "Why can't i?" he asked. "Because i'm going to be there for five hours" I said. I saw Mrs. Serein laying on the couch with a fan in her face. Dagen watched a show, i rolled my eyes. "Please?" He asked again. "No, bye" I said walking to the door i putt on my converse, and walked out shutting the door in his face. I walked down the steps and out of the gate.

I looked at my phone as i came to a cross walk, waiting for it to turn. It was Ren, i rolled my eyes and read the text. "I am free tomorrow, meet me at the library around 1" I glared down at me phone. "Im busy" I said. "No you're not" He said. I glared at my phone and stuck it in my purse puffing out air. I crossed the street with the other people around me, I turned right and towards the store. I opened the door "Atara hi!" I looked to my side and saw Haley up in my face smiling at me. "Hello" I nodded and waved at Aiden he waved back and continued to move dog food. I walked into the employees room and grabbed my apron with my name on it. I putt it on and pushed my hair up into a ponytail. I walked out and into the store, and saw Aiden struggling with some dog food bags. "Want help?" I asked. "Nope" He said in a strained voice. I looked at him, his face was red, i grabbed two bags from him and stood on my toes pushing them onto the shelf. I looked at him he held the one bag his face surprised. "What?" I asked confused. "Wow you're really strong" He said. "Thanks?" I asked then walked to the front desk and waited for costumers. I herd the bell ding and i looked up, i saw Nathan. "Oh Atara hi" He said in a almost panicked sounding voice, but he smiled . "Hi Nathan" I said. "Nathan!" Haley said walking up to him happily. "Hi, did you get my text?" He asked. I looked at them curious. "Ya, let me see" Haley said. I watched curious, Nathan open up his jacket and pulled out a small kitten, it was tan colored with black spots, it almost looked like a small lepord. I saw noticed it tail had frost on it.

"Aiden can you get the blankets and the heater in the back!" Haley said to Aiden he walked off. I walked around the counter and up to Haley. "Nathan found this kitten in an alley, it was all alone, it has frost bite poor baby" Haley said patting it. I looked at it and patted its head it squirmed and leaned out of Haleys arms and towards me. I grabbed it and held it, it snuggled into my arms and started to purr. "Aw he likes you" Haley smiled. "Who knew being a demon would have its perks" I thought. I pet its head and Aiden came with a heating pad and blankets. The kitten didn't move so i took the blankets and wrapped it up and then wrapped the heater over the blankets. "He really does like you" Haley laughed. "Hm i guess" I said and held the purring kitten. I looked around and saw an empty basket and grabbed it grabbing some pillows and placing them inside it. I set the kitten down and set it on the counter. "There, now we can keep watch on it and its comfortable. "Smart" Nathan said. I nodded and everyone continued on their way while Nathan talked my ear off. He finally left after what felt like ages, i herd the bell ring and looked up. My breathing hitched and i ducked down. "Crap crap crap crap" I thought. I herd Haley sigh slightly but greet him "Hello, how my i help you?" she said I looked over the counter and saw the one and only Damian Wayne. I groaned in my head.
