Secret (Harry Styles Love Story)

Hello! My name is Kathleen. Kathleen Vanessa. Yeah sounds weird, like two names become one but who cares?

Today, is my birthday. Guess what? I'm turning 17 today. I'm excited but sad because I just lost one more year of my age. Look at me. Older. Almost cried, but no. I don't need to cry.

I cover myself in my blanket because the weather here is so cool. Almost killing myself. Sweaters and sweatpants can't cover me enough. 

I close my eyes, trying to get more sleep because its already morning. I look at my wall clock, 7am. Too early for Saturday.

"Kathleen! Wake up dear, it's your birthday!" I hear my mom downstairs, screaming.

"Hmm." I hum inside my blanket.

"Kathleen! Come on!" Now I hear my dad screams. I suddenly wake up in fear and scream.

"Coming, dad!" 

I run downstairs and oh! I'm afraid of my dad. Yeah bit weird?

I can see a giant cake in front of me now. White, and elegant. I love it. Beside it I can see my father smiling and my mother. She looks beautiful. And, there's my little brother Brian. He looks messy.

"Happy birthday, Kay!" My father hugs me tight and smiles at me.

"Thank you, Dad."

"Happy birthday, my dear. You have to be more mature." My mom hugs me and kiss my cheek.

"Yeah mom, I'll try." I chuckle.

"Aye, big sister." Brian comes to me and hand me a little messy-wrapped gift.

"Now what is this?" I look at him strangely.

"Just open it." He looks at me. I'm a little big nervous now.

I open the box and gasp. My little brother just gave me a pair of cute little earrings I wanted months ago. When our family went to a mall and I saw a pair of this earrings. It was like, 99 cents? I liked it and told Brian so. I didn't carry my money with me so I couldn't afford it.

"When you and mom and dad left to the store beside that store, I bought it. I think you might like it. I save it until now." Brian smiles at me. Oh I love this boy so much.

"Oh, Brian, you're so sweet. Thank you. Now I promise you I will get you the best present ever next year." I tell him since he's going to have a birthday in like 10 months.

"Really? Super cool!" Brian jumps. I laugh at how he jumps it's just making me smile.

I walk to my cake and decide to take a little poke because it looks too yummy. Right before my finger land at the top of the cake, my mom slaps my hand slowly.

"Kay, no cake until our special guest coming." My mom says.

"Special guest? Special guest who?" I look at my mom, confused about this special guest.

"It's Harry, don't you remember?" Brian winks at me and pokes my cheek. 

"What? Harry? But he's in London, isn't he?" I ask my dad.

"Yes, and guess who decided to come here just to see his old friend? Well probably he's going to be here in like, 10 minutes? His plane landed about an hour ago." My dad explain clearly that I just stand there doing nothing.

Then I just realize than I'm in a mess. 

Harry, why didn't you tell me this?

I run upstairs as quickly as possible as I hear my mom screams.

"Kay! What are you doing? They're going to be here in a moment!" 

I don't care. I want to look, at least, better than I look right now.
