"You shouldn't be here," Grandpa Sebby's voice holds caution to it, his eyes looking me over while he pauses a moment. It comes as no surprise though, when he decides to protect his pack instead of taking a chance with an outsider that shouldn't have been able to locate the lodge. He orders the tracker and warrior while nodding at me, "You don't belong here...have her imprisoned-"

He's not even finished giving his order when the two approach me, knowing they're all hybrids and won't jeopardize their existence, their lives...to a true born.

I allow them to apprehend me, though as I stand still, Grandpa Sebby turns on his heels. Releasing a small breath, I tell him, "I know that you're neither a true born...nor a dormant hybrid."

He freezes at my words, whirling around to furrow his brows with skepticism.

"I know that your genes are already unlocked..." my voice trails off as he approaches me rather quickly, stopping a few feet away as I state, "...even though you've found none of your mates."

Grandpa Sebby can't hide the shock...yet intrigue also laces in his features. He nods at the two restraining me, the two immediately letting go and taking a few steps back and away. He asks me, "How do you know this?" He shifts his gaze to those around him, stating, "No one from my pack sets foot outside of our territory...so our contact with outsiders is limited."

"I know you," my chin lifts, stating boldly, "it's a complicated situation, but...I know who your mates are and where to find them."

Grandpa Sebby appears this is far-fetched, because he tells me, "A great claim you have there...though, why would anyone, let alone a true born hybrid, come all this way to tell me this?"

"Does the reasoning matter?" I question him.

"Yes, because for all intents and purposes, you might just be lying," Grandpa Sebby is guarding himself and his pack from something that appears as a threat. I didn't expect any less because he doesn't know me...not yet, not for a long time...but how do I make him see that I'm telling the truth without sounding like a complete lunatic?

I could tell him the information I know and what the future holds, but it could backfire tremendously.

Instead, to play a part in this game is to move the pieces correctly on the board as Grandpa once taught me. Even if they don't see what you're doing, but your intentions are for the best and an advantage to the end outcome...I'll have to give him good reason to come with me.

"There is a day of reckoning approaching," I take the skills my mom and dad have given me, hoping it will be enough to sway him, "the Code of Conduct will be nullified, the vampires' reign will come to an end, and a peaceful future is within our sights."

Grandpa Sebby folds his arms across his chest and asks, "How do you know?"

"I'm an oracle," it's not a lie, but not entirely the truth either. I've only had one vision ever in my life, though it reoccurs not just as a vision, I dream of it as well.

The air leaves my lungs as I suddenly clasp my chest, falling forward. My knees are about to crash with the icy ground; however, I feel arms catch me. It's the pulsation of power, breathing a new life through my body as it floods with discerning strength. I've felt this before, but only a fraction of what I feel now...

...it's similar to the way I felt the moment time struck its clock on the exact moment of my birth.

Why did everything change that day?

Why that moment?

Grandpa Sebby holds me, furrowing his brows as he states, "Your soul..." when his voice trails off, I breathe out slowly, lifting my gaze to meet with his, my eyes widening when I see that his blue and green irises have been replaced with that of a winter white.
