Alfie Deyes was many things. But what he wasn't, was a bad friend.

Zoella with her pretty smile had attracted him from the very beginning. He knew he was falling and he knew it was dangerous to spend time with her. But he risked it because he wanted to see her smiling. He wanted to be the reason behind that smile which could break hearts.

So, when Zoe called him up unable to utter a word without breaking into tears, Alfie did the only thing he knew was right. He knew he wouldn't be able to keep his feelings hidden for long and after assuring Zoella that he would be there in an hour, he made a rushed detour to Dan's house first.

"I'm sorry Dan. I didn't mean for this to happen. I promise I won't act on my feelings. It's not fair to you."

"Well, you are violating the bro-code."

"I- I'm sorry Dan."

"But what if I say, I would be glad that you're violating it?"

"Huh?"

"Zoey deserves someone like you, someone who won't hurt her like I did. Take care of her Alfie."

"Stop it. Stop hugging me you goof. Oh my God! You're suffocating me Alfie. Haha just go to her."

"Thanks man. I owe you one."

"Yeah you do. You owe me pizza."
