I Found You

Chapter 12

Asato enter the infirmary to find Damian is already on top of one of the beds still asleep. He look for the health nurse but cannot find him anywhere. It seems the nurse also went to help the more injured Stephanie.

The omega winches as he pull out the drawers for medical supplies. He found what he need and look for the mirror to treat his wound himself, he also doesn't forget to look at the sleeping alpha just in case he woke up.

After putting on a big bandage on his face he walk over the sink and fill some water onto his palms, he drink the water but spit it out again to find clotting blood mixing with the water. He gargles a few more to clean his bleeding mouth, he look at himself in front of the mirror, staring at his cheek covered in bandages and the flashback came back to him.

Stephanie slapped him hard and then Damian throwing the girl across the room, the girl fell down lifelessly onto the crumbling walls. The image of Stephanie's lifeless bloody face keep on repeating itself in the omega's head. He immediately hug himself, his hands and arm trembling, he doesn't know why, is he scared? No, he shouldn't be scared of Damian. The alpha was protecting him. Is he scared of those glowing red eyes? The thing Damian done like he is not himself? Or what the high-level alpha is capable of?

Suddenly he could feel a pair of warm arms around him and hug him tightly against a hard chest. Damian sigh contently putting his chin on top of Asato's blonde head.

Asato widened his eyes as the image of Stephanie's face appear again in his head. He immediately turn around and push the alpha away hard but of course the stronger man just let go of his arms and doesn't really budged away.

"No!" Asato shouted in reflect but quickly cover his mouth. He look up to find Damian staring at him with shock, the alpha's face quickly become dejected from Asato pushing him away.

The fear in Asato's face is as clear as day, his hands trembled in fear of the alpha, he tried to stop the trembling, he wasn't supposed to be scared, he loves Damian so much that he should be able to accept him unconditionally.

"Asa," Damian says in a serious tone to make Asato look back at him, the alpha flinch when he saw how the boy who he loves is terrified of him.

Asato find Damian's expression change into a very sad and dejected, the alpha slowly step away from him.

"You're afraid," Damian stated, "of me," he continue, he gritted his teeth, the alpha in him wanted to cry from the omega's rejection.

Seeing how broken the alpha looks, Asato suddenly forgets the incident that just happens, now he saw the old Damian, the alpha who sat far away from him so he won't jump on him. The alpha who was scared of his own brother and holding back with all of his power so he won't hurt the omega.

The omega finally opens his mouth to say something but Damian already disappeared from his sight, the window across the room is wide open meaning the alpha just ran away from him.

Asato could feel tears drip down his face as he fall down the floor, "No, I'm not afraid," he whisper and he should have said it out loud.

After that Asato is asked to go home for the day. When he got home, he decided to go to his workplace early, maybe he can forget things that just happened by focusing in his work. Damian always came to walk him home after work anyway, Asato promised to explain himself properly to the alpha this time.

Asato's shift is about to end, he wiped down the empty tables, looking at the shop's entrance now and then, but still no sign of Damian.

His shift finally ends, he change his clothes and walk out the staff room, hoping the alpha is already outside waiting for him. He look around the deserted shop and sigh. Asato check his phone just in case Damian sent him any text messages, but there's none, he didn't even read the messages Asato sent before he started his shift. Today Asato walked home from his work alone for the first time since he started dating Damian.
