Jane rested peacefully on the tree's branchs with Sue, watching four boys argue below. They had no idea why they were shouting like old people, but did protest nor did it interest them. The boys had their issues, which were much more silly than fighting over a piece of candy. Shawn was trying to calm his brother down, who in return would shout angerly into his pale ears. Gazel and Torch were glaring daggers at each other like wild dogs, which could tear each other apart in an instant without wasting a second. Finally, Torch plunged himself into action, grabbing Gazel's collar, and raising his fist. Jane jumped off the tree, and grabbed his fist in the last second, before it could touch the silver-haired boy's face. Torch growled angerly, and stepped away, not muttering a single insult, but displeasure was written on his face, and het Gazel had a slight, satisfied smirk on his face. Shawn and Aidan were still arguing, with no care of the world, until Sue tugged both of their ears, and forced them to sit down on the grassy, dirt floor, before letting them go.

"Is it time you guys stop arguing like kids, and start asking serious questions?" She asked disgustfully, and slapped the two brother's heads.

The two idiots nodded out of embaresment. Gazel on the other hand, was not in the mood to hang around. He rested his back against the trunck of a tree nearby, and chewed his lower lip, thinking of how to start talking.

"Alright, I guess beating Claude's pride was enough for my fun--," but a small pebble crashed against his head, cutting him off.

Torch huffed disgustingly, and stuck out his tongue towards Gazel childishly. A small chuckle slipped from Sue's lips, gaining her a disapproving glare from the silver-haired boy. Jane shock her head in disappointment, kicking a small pile of dust on the floor, sending grains of dirt filling the air.

"Nothing works out with you. You cannot even ask a single question properly, without making a drama," the girl sighed, and continued calmly," Your going to ask why I felt the game so quickly."

No one muttered a word, only averted their gazes, and Jane spoke again ," I no longer have a reason to play soccer. Nothing felt, and I have to go back to my exams. It as simple."

But that was not going to get Torch convinced. He stopped towards her, grabbing her shoulders, and yelling angerly," Even if that is true, you cannot just leave soccer behind so simply!"

Jane patted her friend's head, with a pitiful smile, and said," It is fine, I am not mad or anything."

With that, she walked away from the group. Everyone ran after her, but Gazel froze in his place, and slowly watched a familiar, immortal figure walking behind the girl. Lucian, he knew, and for a long time. The cursed human walked behind Jane like a lion eyeing his prey, but the girl was not letting him toy with her. That much Gazel knew, but he was also aware that Lucian had his ways to bribe people to become his pawns, and Jane was not going to be able to resist him forever. Slowly and gently, another morning breeze brushed past him, indicating something unexpected to come on his way.

Jane ignored her friends' as they tried to reason with her, but her stubborn mind would not allow anything to interfere with her life. The girl's eyes revealed independence, and the chances of changing that look was less than fifteen perecent. Torch's words would enter one of her ears, and leave another, but even though he knew that, he kept yelling, not letting hope slip away just like that. Sue was worried more than ever, hazel eyes pleading for a response, but not a single reply would come out of her lips. Aidan and Shawn walked behind the group, trying to think of a solution to get Jane to play soccer again, but Aidan's mind was filled with guilt even if he hide it so smoothly, and Shawn knew that more than ever. All the voices around Jane were like fading away, and being replaced with the sound of the gentle voice of snow falling, and the strong winter breezes, and turn the loud screams of lightning, but they were all illusions of her mind. On the opposite side of the street, Xavier stood next to a nearby lamp--post, with a mini water bottle in his felt hand. He was wearing a simple purple t-shirt, and plain, light, grey pants. His attention turned from the clear, blue sky to the source of shouting and yelling. His eyes landed on Jane, who had a calm, dreamy expression, as if she did not care of the world around her for a second. Her silent foot--steps clattered across the concrete sidewalk like a glass,  her green jersey was slightly socked in sweat, and her bright hazel hair had the same mixture of pure orange, which seemed to keep reminding him of the after noon sunset. A small smile danced on his lips, once Jane's attention drifted towards him. Xavier took several steps towards the girl, causing Torch to twitch his eyebrow irritatedly. His green eyes rested on Jane's plain sapphire necklace, and commented," It has been a while since you wore that," but the questionable expression on the girl's face encouraged him to tease her more, " No need for the cold face, but news spreads quickly, and your silly dreamy face makes look like a child."

"What's with you? A day you act like an innocent big brother to is the calmest person on earth, and the next you are a teasing me like a stubborn idiot," she replied, playing with one of the strands of her hair.

A nervous look replaced his fair, pale face for a second, before regaining its confidence. His cradled her hand and gently placed a soft kiss on the back of her hand, before taking his leave, his teasing eyes danced to the sky again as he kept walking, until he disappeared from Jane's sight, but right next to her Torch's face was boiling with anger, that even sweat was dripping from his forehead. Jealousy was ugly, but the red head was unable to fight it so easily.
