Week later...
Today I decided to sell with Race, he's been trying to find someone to sell with, he's even asked me once. "Hey race, you wanna sell with me today?" I asked, i was nervous, why was I nervous? Its Race, the flirty guy above my bunk. "Uh sure why not." He said taking my hand, i felt something, I've felt it before with him but i never know what it is. "So where do youse wanna go?" He asked, i knew he wanted a selling partner but i don't think he ever thinks things through. "Well whats your favorite spot?'' I asked. "Well i usually sell where the sheepshead races are, so i guess we's goin there." He said.

"So whats you're real name, cause I'm sure as hell your parents didn't give you the name 'racetrack'. " i said. "My real name is Antony Higgins. How about you?" He asked. "Well my actual real name is Adele Sullivan, but i go by Delilah or lilah." I said. "Why? Adele is a pretty name." He said as i blushed a little. "It just has to many bad memories." I say. "Sorry i asked." He said. "Its fine" I replied we kinda walked in silence for a couple minutes.

"So youse uh, single?" He asked with a smile, i knew Race definitely flirted a lot, he hasn't as much with me for some reason, he's only called me beautiful and said a couple of flirty things but thats it. "No, I've never had a boyfriend." I said. "What?" "Yeah" i replied. "Youse don't have a single-You're 17 youse don't have a single ex-boyfriend?" He said. "Yeah no." I said confused on why he was making such a big deal about it. "Thats shocking." He said. "Why? I mean guys don't really look at me like that." I replied. "Of course they's do, have youse seen the looks every boys face when you walks by?" He asked. "No i mean there's no way-" "why don't youse think they's thinks about you." He said as he cut me off. "Because I'm just, they don't." I said. "Because youse what? lilah you're absolutely beautiful." He said, I didn't believe he just said that, i kinda stood there in shock for a second. "Oh my god no." I replied with a small laugh.

Just before I could think anymore race kissed me on the cheek and smiled at me. "Youse should probably just sell by yourself today." He said still smiling, we where both blushing he looked really cute when he blushed. "Uh ok." I replied with a small laugh because I honestly didn't know what was happening.

I went to find Crutchie after Race left and as i was running around i ran into a girl about my age, "oh, I'm so sorry." I said. "Its ok, i was going to fast also so its my fault as well." She said as she gave me a smile. "What's your name?" She asked me. "Delilah, but my friends call me lilah." I said. "I'm Eleanor, but you can call me Ella." She said. "Well nice meetin ya." I said we both smiled at each other and waved goodbye.

"Crutchie!" I yelled as i saw Crutchie. "Lilah! What happened? Are youse ok?" He asked. "Yes I'm fine." I said with a laugh. "You wont BELIEVE what just happened." I said. "What happened?" He asked. "Race just called me beautiful and kissed me on the cheek!" I said. "That's Amazin'!" He said. "So do youse like him?" He asked. "Um, maybe." I said blushing.
