As we returned back to the Bungalow house, everyone had their own team. I had my own too: Savannah, Matt and Jack. As all the teams gathered, Anna explained to me that I once I moved to California, she moved to Tennessee. Then, Matt happened to move there to and they happened to go to the same school. My lips started to twitch as they both explained how they met and how awkward it was.

"It was really awkward! I mean, meeting your best friend's ex?" Anna says with much emotion that I laughed.

"How much more me? Meeting your ex's best friend?!" Matt sighed. "And you know how things got worse?"

I patiently waited for their answer. "Our English teacher paired us together for a project!" I laugh as Matt's jaw was dropping.

"Yeah, but that's how we got close." Anna defends. I chuckle. "What?" They chorused.

"Are you sure you guys aren't together?" I ask.

"No!" They yelled. They were so loud that one of the counselors scolded them which made me and Jack laugh so hard. I enjoyed being with my group for five minutes. I already knew them. How could it possibly be that we were on the same team?

"It's called destiny!" A voice says. I turn to Matt who was smirking and Anna and Jack kept laughing. I blushed. Did I say that out loud? That's so embarrassing!

"You guys have a really deep southern accent, I'm not use to it." I cross my arms.

"If y'all live here, everybody does. We just get use to it." Anna replied. I wanted to laugh of how awkward their accents were but maybe it was because I wasn't use to it.

Once everyone was settled down, Savannah had to go up onstage again and explain what would be happening during the camp. The girls had one cabin and the boys had another but they're beside each other. I was happy because my best friend was going to be my roommate.

After some few welcoming remarks from Mr. Davanchi, we head to our cabins. We got chose to choose our own cabin, indicating our team. Anna and I had our eyes on the lake side cabin. Well actually, everyone did. We ran as fast as we can towards the cabin and we reached their first, earning some groans from the other teams who also wanted the spot.

On the cabin's door hanged a paper sign that said "Trackers". That was our team name. The four of us got inside the cabin. It was nice. There were two rooms, a wooden table and some couches. I didn't expect any TVs. This was camp. Gadgets weren't allowed especially cellphones but excepton to emergencies. The counselors all have our phones. The horror of not having a phone for a week!

We got to our respective rooms that each had doors that said "girls" and "boys". Anna and I went inside to dscover a room decorated with pink walls and a bunk bed. There was a table for four and a big cabinet.

"Whoa, pinky. Not my color." Anna shrugs. I nod in agreement. Pink wasn't our color. Even when we were kids, purple was our mistress. We both loved that color and I don't know if she still does until now but I still do. "If they colored it purple, I would love them." It felt like she read my mind!

"Absolutely. Yani deserves to be here." I replied and she chuckled. Yani Jackson was this half Mexican friend of ours back then who would wear pink everyday and all of her belongings were pink too. We found it creepy, but others found it amusing and cool.

"I'll take the top." She says. I turn to her. "You still afraid of heights?" I roll my eyes but nod. You see, everytime I would sleep over at her house before, I would sleep at the top. But one time, I fell off the bed and it traumatized me. Not a very good reason, but it's true.
