Chapter 13

{William Butler}

I watched as Melanie grabbed Jack into a hug. Surely I'm not jealous, right? Besides, Jack doesn't like Mel after all. We finished seventh to them, obviously since Kiara kept complaining about her broken nail and mud on her hair. I was so annoyed of her nagging that I felt like breaking all of her nails and tossing bird poop unto her hair.

I was walking back to our cabin and before I entered through the front door, Kiara pulled me away.

"You heartless jerk!" She yelled.

I scoffed. "Now I'm the heartless the jerk?"

"You're such an idiot, Butler."

"Idiot? I'm sorry, Kiara. I'm guessing you're trying to be sarcastic but you just don't know how. What a bummer!" I muttered.

"Enough the jokes! You completely ruined me and Jack!" She yelled like a little girl who's cotton candy's been taken away.

"You and Jack? Or your reputation?" I said. She slaps me hard on the face. I wasn't surprised. Just knowing Kiara and how a wretch she is, you can expect that.

"I like Jack! And what right do you have to come between us? You're just an unpopular geek who's been head over heels over the ugliest girl in school!"

"Whoa watch it, Kiara. I don't have a crush on you." I smirked while she stomped her feet, getting frustrated.

"Stop! Just stop!" She screamed, opened the cabin door and slammed it closed.

"Way to go, Butler." I turned around to see Tom Weisz smiling. This guy just hates me, I don't know why he's just smiling at me like we just became friends.

"What gives you the right to eavesdrop, Tom?" I snapped.

"I'm Timothy Weisz! I can do anything I want!" He boasted. I rolled my eyes. Tom has the tendency to butt into people's personal details. Forget tendency, he always does.

"Hey, don't you roll your eyes on me!" He fake gasps. What a tough football captain...

"If you're going to slit all of my underwear, do it now while I'm still awake. I don't want to fix my stuff if you mess them up." I sighed.

"What I can't be nice once in a while? You totally rocked on Kiara! That shrew deserved that." He says.

"Yeah thanks. Now leave." I ordered him. He places his palm in front of me. I sigh, getting all of my underwear in the closet and watch him slit them into pieces. Tom was nice enough to leave two unharmed. And with that, he just left.

I decided not to sleep yet, especially because my roommate from Marston was making out with a random girl in our room. I walked around the cabins then came acroos one right beside the lake. It would've been great to be in this area.

"Will." I turned around to see Mel, smiling.

"Hey." I returned the smile. "What's with happy attitude?"

"Really? Didn't see that coming." She shrugs. She sits at the edge of the harbor and I sit beside her, our feet touching the water.

"Mel."

"Will." We said in unison.

"You go first." I chuckled slightly.

"No, you go. Mine can wait." She replied.

"No, please. Ladies first."

She sighs. "Alright."

She places a strand of hair behind her ears and straightens up. She takes my hand, which surprises me. "I just wanted to say thank you. For everything. I don't know why, I've been really thinking about you. I think you can now become my friend, William Butler."

I don't know why but I placed the back of her hand towards my lips, pressing it against each other. "I didn't know Melanie Fox could change a lot." She blushed.

"I just realize that it's time to make others happy." She says. She stares at me, making me look away and snicker.

"Don't check me out, Mel. I'm not hot."

She blushes. "I just-you don't-your glasses-... Never mind." She lets go of my hand and looks away.

"What? Tell me."

She looks at me again. Melanie was beautiful. Every angle you see, she was gorgeous. More than Angelina Jolie or Miranda Kerr. "Can I?" She asks, referring to my glasses.

"Oh. Sure." I replied and watched her take my glasses off. It was getting blurry but I could still see her.

"You look better without them."

I take off his glasses. I stared at him like I was checking him out. Will looked really good looking without his glasses. He was gorgeous.

"You look better without them." I said and hand it back to him. He wears them again.

"Thanks." He smiles. I imagined him smile, making me clutch my stomach when it started to flutter. What's happening?

"Why don't you wear contacts?" I asked.

"I did once, when I was thirteen but it didn't go well." He scratches the back of his neck. "I'll try again soon."

I smile. "What were you supposed to tell me again?"

His smile fades. "Oh... Um... I just wanted to tell you the same thing. You're... Uh, great."

"Why would you say that? I helped you with nothing." I chuckled.

"Mel, you know I've always liked you." That shut me up, awkward silence surrounding us. The old me would've pushed him into the lake and laughed him drown or probably puke because his usual confession but the new me, I appreciated it.

"I better go, Will. It's getting late." I said and stood up, putting my slippers on. I walk towards our cabin when I hear his footsteps following me. He catches up with me and stops when I head for the front door of our cabin.

"Mel!" He called out. I turned around to see him running towards me then envelope me into a hug. I couldn't help but hug back.

"Think about it. I really like you."

A/N: Oh my gosh! What will Jack think? *gasps*

Anyways, I'm a bit confused who'll she might end up with. This story will not yet end soon. We still have a lot of surprises coming soon. So are you a MELACK shipper or a MELILL shipper. Idk, I suck at ship names but give suggest me one if you have a better one! Oh and guess who'll play Will??? Haha, betcha don't know since there's a lot of cuties out there. Anywho, the sweetheart Colin Ford is playing William Butler. I'll add a picture soon :)
