Joanna looked again at the profile picture sitting at the top of the page. It was a blue background with a white peace sign.

"Just a typical picture. I guess he doesn't want to show his face." She thought out loud. Sitting back against her brown leather couch, she began to type on her phone.

Jojobear: how are you?

Toshi46: I'm doing well, thanks :P I hope you're well too?

Hmm.. he's a polite one, Joanna smiled.

Jojobear: I'm okay I guess

Toshi46: 👍🏼

Toshi46: so what brings you to this site? Aside from the obvious I mean 😅

Wow, what a dork.

Jojobear: my best friend created this account for me, she says I need a boyfriend but tbh, idk if I'm even interested in looking for one.

This is where he loses interest and stops responding. Joanna thought to herself with a small smile.

Toshi46: I see. It's definitely hard to find someone special these days, people are either vain or just stuck up.

Jojobear: I guess you've had some bad experiences?

Toshi46: well, not specifically me, just other people around me. I've seen people's hearts break pretty badly, and I'm not so sure I even wanna go down that road myself.

Huh. Neither of us want to find love. Perfect! I just made a friend.

Jojobear: well, we can both avoid love together 👍🏼 I'm Joanna, but please call me Jojo.

Toshi46: Sounds great! I'm Toshinori, but you can call me Toshi if you'd like.

Jojobear: well it's very nice to meet you Toshinori 😊

Toshi46: likewise 😁

My chapters are going to be sort of inconsistent in terms of length, some will be short and some might be longer, but I'm really excited for this new idea so I wanna take my time with it, and not rush it in any way.
