The Ocean Between Us

Chapter 13

Toshinori

It was four in the morning, and Toshinori was wide awake once again. He and Joanna had made love again, more passionately than the first time with more care, love and kisses. He sighed. I'm gonna miss her so much. He turned his head to look at the sleeping beauty beside him. Her eyes were closed lightly, and her hair was splayed out across her shoulders and chest. He looked at her lips. They were a little bit darker than normal from all the biting he did a few hours earlier. They looked so juicy, he couldn't help himself to one more little kiss.

He shuffled a little closer to Joanna and pulled her into his arms, pressing his naked body to hers and burying his face in her hair. He inhaled deeply, and sighed again. She smells so sweet. He pulled his face away and gazed at her lovingly, then dropped his head to meet her lips with his own.

"Toshi..." Joanna mumbled before his lips met hers. He stopped, stifling a smile.

"Joey." He whispered. She opened her eyes.

"Why aren't you sleeping?" She asked slightly groggily, wrapping her arms around his skinny body and holding him close. He kissed her cheek and then her forehead.

"I can't stop thinking about you."

"Silly goose. You should be thinking about sleeping." She smiled. For a little while, they lay there touching each other's bodies, feeling all their bumps and curves, from his bony shoulders to her soft thighs. While they were doing this, Joanna spoke up.

"You know what would be funny?"

Toshinori looked at her. "What?"

"If you forgot like, a pair of pants or a shirt when you leave."

"That's funny to you?" Toshinori chuckled.

"Well.. it would be annoying to me if I left clothes behind." Joanna shrugged. "I hate forgetting things."

"Don't worry, I'll make sure to pack everything up properly." Toshinori rubbed her shoulders and kissed her nose.

Joanna sighed. "Its gonna be hard, you going back to Japan in just a matter of hours."

Toshinori looked into her eyes. "We'll make it work. We have to, because we love each other too much to give up. Right?"

Joanna smiled warmly. "Right. I'll try with everything in me. Pluuuussss ultraaaaaa!" She whisper-yelled, making Toshinori shake with laughter.

She's just too cute. Toshinori pulled Joanna as close to his small body as he could and held her tightly. She wrapped her arms around him gently and stroked his back until they both fell asleep.

The next morning, Toshinori noticed that Joanna was up earlier than normal.

"I want to spend every last second with you before you go." She stated simply as she cooked their breakfast.

He smiled softly. "That's sweet of you. What are we going to do today? My flight leaves at 5pm so hopefully we can squeeze in a bunch of activities."

Joanna chuckled. "I wish it were spring already, I would have loved to go out and have a picnic at the park, but there's still snow everywhere."

Toshinori frowned. "I thought you love the winter."

"Well, sort of. I love the cold part of this season, but I hate the snow and ice part." She smiled and turned off the stove underneath the hard boiled eggs. "But it's okay, there are other things we can do."

"Something tells me you want to play video games." Toshinori chuckled.

"Maaaaybe." She winked at him and plated their dishes with food. "I can't help it Toshi I really love Zelda games. They're addictive."
