Chapter 9

The next morning you wake up and go downstairs to see if Hiro's awake. "Hi." you say to him while standing by a wall with your arms around yourself as if your cold. "Morning... are you feeling better?" Hiro says sitting up on the couch. "I'm... I don't know." you say to him looking away. He gets up from the couch to give you a hug but you jump back, bumping into the wall. "Sorry I..." you say to him, then you slowly lean in and give him a hug, it doesn't last long. "You know I would never do anything to hurt you right?" Hiro says to you after departing from the hug. "I know I just... I'm just scared now." you say to him as tears fill your eyes from thinking about the night before. "I know, I know and I don't judge you for that. I understand that that's something scary and I will do whatever you need me to do. I'm here for you, no matter what." he says to you with a comforting smile. "I need you to stay with me. I don't wanna be alone and I'll try not to be so... jumpy around you." you say to him. "Ok. Do you want any breakfast?" he ask you while walking into the kitchen and you following him. "Uhm, sure." you say as you sit down at the table. "Blueberry pancakes, or chocolate chip?" he asks you. "Blueberry." you say to him with a small smile on your face. After Hiro is done making the pancakes he sits at the table with you and you both start eating. "This is really good." you say to him. "Thanks." he says back with a smile. "Do you wanna do something today to get your mind off of...that?" he says as he gets both of your plates and takes them to the sink. "Sure..." you say to him "what did you have in mind?" you ask. "There's this arcade, it's really fun and I think it'll be a good distraction." he says turning around looking at you. "Oh...ok, we'll have to get dressed of course." you say standing up from the table. "I'll get dressed in my moms room and you can get dressed in my room." you say to him as you head upstairs. When you get up there you get your clothes out of you dresser and go into your moms room... and locked the door. This is unusual because you never felt the need to lock the door, but now you do. After you and Hiro both finished getting dressed you both got your shoes on and left out the house.

(Time Skip)

You guys are in the arcade playing games and it's been a few hours so you both decide to get something to eat. You go to a pizza place and... well, eat pizza.  "You know it's still early and there's this beach near your house actually. Do you wanna go? You don't have to wear a bathing suit or anything cause I know that would be a little..." he says to you not wanting to say exactly what it is, but you understand him. "Yea, we can go, maybe we can just stay on the sand or something..." you say to him as you finish up your pizza. Soon you guys are at the beach and there actually isn't a lot of people but you walk to where no one is. For a while you guys just walk around. "Do u wanna sit?" Hiro asked you, "Sure." you said as you both sat down. "Thank you, for this "distraction day" kinda thing." you say to him, "No problem, what are friends for..." he says,"I'm sorry I couldn't be there to stop it from happening." he says looking down. "It's ok, you came in before anything...serious could happen and I'm so thankful for that." you say looking in his eyes. You both just sit there and it reminds you of when you first kissed, he leans in to kiss you but you turn away... "I'm sorry," you say before you pause, "I trust you..." you whisper before you lean in to kiss him, he kisses you back softly, not wanting to go to far. It starts getting late so you and Hiro walk back to your house and he gets in the shower, then you. "Hiro?!" you call him from upstairs. "Yes?" he asks as he walks to the bottom of the stairs. "Can you sleep upstairs with me?" you ask him as you start to blush a little. "Uhm, yea sure." he says as he starts to walk up the stairs. You both go into your room and you lay down in your bed. He gets in after, laying behind you. He's about to put his arms around you but before he does... "Are u ok with this?" he asks you. "Uhm...y-yea." you say to him stuttering a little. "You sure?" he asks again. "Yea, I'm sure." you say. After saying that he lays down with you and you realize with him laying there... protecting you, you feel so much better. Soon you both fall fast asleep.
