Chapter 17

I am still sad, but life must go on.

Bumaba ako kinabukasan, at naabutan si Casper at Arnold na nagtatalo.
"Clary, good thing you are here. Please tell this young master that Street Fighter video game is not famous as it was before." Sabi ni Arnold.

Iyon ang pinagtatalunan nila?
"It's more on, Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed nowadays," I said.
"What the heck is that?" Tanong ni Casper.

Mukhang madaming kailangang icatch-up si Casper.
"And Rachel and Ross of FRIENDS end up together," I said.
"Nooooooo." Parang tinorture si Casper sa sinabi ko.
"The series ended around fourteen years ago," I informed him.
Nagtakip siya ng tenga at ayaw madinig ang kwento.
"Monica and Chandler decide to try to adopt a child after finding out that they are infertile," I said.
"Oh, stop it... I won't listen. I will watch every episode. Say you recorded it?" Tanong ni Casper kay Arnold.

"I have a copy of season 1 to 10," I said. Iniwan ko sila ni Arnold. Sinundan ako ni Casper sa kitchen.
"Can we watch it?" Pacute na tanong nito.
"Are you one of those who has a crush with Jennifer Aniston?"
"Who wouldn't?" Sagot ni Casper.

I open my phone and look for Jen Aniston's present photo.

"She's turning 50 but still beautiful." I gave him my phone.
"She's fifty?" Tanong ni Casper.
"And so are you," I replied.

Tumatawang binalik sa akin ni Casper ang phone.
"Fair point, well made, Clarida."

"Since you are up, do you want to go somewhere?"
He has this cheeky grin on his face that wanted me to just drag him upstairs and kiss him endlessly.
"You turned pink all of a sudden." He commented.

I cleared my throat and my thoughts.

"Can we drive around?"
"Sure." He replied.
I finished my coffee and we went outside.

Nagtalo kami ni Casper kung sino ang magmamaneho and he won the argument by insisting that "I know the whole place by heart."

Habang nasa daan kami, tinanong ako ni Casper kung saan ko gustong pumunta. And I said to his tomb.

"So weird." He murmured.

Casper parked his car in front of his grave. Hindi kami lumabas ng kotse. Nakatanaw lang kami sa lapida na may pangalan niya.

"What will you do with that?"
Hindi agad kumibo si Casper.
"He is my father as far as everybody is concerned." He said.
"Is it surreal to see your name on a tombstone?"
Mahinang tumawa si Casper.
"It gives me creeps actually," Casper replied.

"Will you age? Can you...you know...reproduce?" Seryosong tanong ko.
"Why Clarida? You should be ashamed you asked a gentleman with that kind of question." Sagot ni Casper na parang naeskandalo sa tanong ko.

Natatawa akong hinampas siya sa braso.
"I'm serious."
He cleared his throat and started the car.
"Can we go to other places if we will talk about sex? This is not my kind of place." He said.
"I didn't say sex."
"You didn't. You just sugar coat it."

Dumaan kami sa isang pizza parlor, because he likes to eat pizza, and ordered two large boxes.

We end up in a park...a pic-nic park over looking at a lake.

"Okay, what's your question again?" Tanong ni Casper.
"If you will age," I repeated.
"Technically, I will. I am not immortal." He replied.
Tumango-tango ako.
"But can you reproduce?"
Mukhang nasisiyahan si Casper sa tanong ko.
"You really wanna know, don't you?! Well, I haven't been back for that long. And I haven't been with a woman since... you know... I died."
"Ghost don't masturbate?"
Nasamid si Casper sa tanong ko. Natawa ako pati ako.

"I didn't see that coming." He replied. "Fucking hell, no. I don't know. I didn't try."

"Stop asking me. Now, I want to know you. So you live in the Philippines you said."

Tumango ako.
"And... any boyfriend?"

Bigla akong tumawa. "Gosh, I forgot I have a boyfriend. His name is James." I said.
Pinakita ko ang Picture ni James Reid sa kanya na nasearch ko sa Google.
"Isn't he cute?"
"He looks short." He replied.
Tumawa na naman ako.
"How I wish he knows me," I said and eat my slice.

"You are kidding me." Sabi niya.

"Of course I do. Who will want to be with me? I am a nerd." I said.

"I like nerds." He replied, then smile.

Bloody hell... Saan galing yung kilig na yun.
