Ch. 4: Diminishing Hope
I woke up still in shock over everything. Especially the fact that Steve had told me he loved me and I actually said it back. I said it back! It was an amazing feeling to know that the person you loved and trusted felt the same in return. Finally things were starting to look up for us mentally and emotionally. Steve made me feel safe and like I could truly be myself and express my emotions without fear. I hope Eric made Noel feel the same if not better. Sighing to myself happily I turned on the tv as I sat down eating a plate of pizza. The minute what I was watching registered in my head I let out an excited scream as I quickly paused the tv and ran towards Noel's room .
"Noel! Noel I don't believe it!" I yelled excitedly as we stumbled into each other. I groaned as I landed on top of her.
"You don't have to yell Silver I'm literally right under you and... GET THE HELL OFF OF ME!" She yelled. I laughed as she tried to push me off as I tried to make myself heavier. I was shaking with excitement as I finally rolled off her and turned to face her. "What is up with you Silver?" She laughed. Instead of answering I grabbed her leg and dragged her to the TV. I couldnt speak I was so excited and she was probably confused as fuck. For a moment we stood there in silence as I watch shock and excitement take over her features.
"Tortured is a hit single?" She asked as I nodded. Before I knew she was embracing me and crying her heart out. I smiled because this time I knew her tears were happy tears and my envy towards her was put on the back burner so that we could enjoy this moment together. We deserved this moment.
"Count the stars Noel, just count the stars." I whispered feeling myself starting to get choked up also.

By the time I was dressed and headed over to the guys suite Eric was here. I smiled at the two of them. Noel was glowing with excitement over the news and beaming with anticipation for their date. I couldn't wait to hear about it. Just like last night it would be all she was able to talk about for hours. I smiled seeing as the suite door was still partially opened. I stepped through and closed it quietly behind me. Neither Steve nor Joe was anywhere in sight. I was pulling out my phone so I could text Steve as I went back to my room only to be stopped by the sound of Joe's voice. He was yelling and he sounded pissed.
"You weren't supposed to call you idiot!... How do I know? How do you think I know?.... Yes he told me... I gave you specific instructions and I don't think calling was a part of them.... No it didn't speed things up!.... Are you trying to ruin this?.... I don't care I will not take the blame for you..... Whatever. Whatever happens to you will be your own fault...you never listen that's how!"
I felt bad easedropping on his conversation. Last time I overheard he explained how it was a girl who was close to him like a sister, but she managed to get them in trouble a lot when they were younger. He even admitted to having a crush on her. From the sounds of it she'd managed to get herself in trouble again. I shook my head as I stepped back out in the hallway just as Eric and Noel were leaving.
"Have fun you guys. Enjoy!" I yelled catching their attention.
"Thanks Silver we will try." Smiled Noel.
"Oh!" Paused Eric "by the way, Steve said to find him where you can get a birds eye view without getting on the plane."
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" Noel asked before I could yelled at Eric for not telling me sooner.
"It means meet him on the roof." I explained as she quirked an eyebrow at me. "I'll tell you everything later. I promise. Now go enjoy yourself. You deserve it."
