> As some of you earlier readers of this book- back when I'd just commenced the rewriting, may have realized by now, I'm having trouble sticking to the one chapter per day plan I was following. This is due to my moving into a new country, therefore also a new school- which starts in a weeks time. I won't make any promises as to what exactly the schedule will be since the future is uncertain, but know I am doing everything in my power to write these chapters as best and fast as I can for you guys. Thank you to those of you who've read and supported this book with likes and comments, it truly fuels me to continue on, even when I feel a lack of purpose or success. It means a lot to me, since I do put a lot of thought and time into making this a non-cliche filled, more or less enjoyable fanfiction.

(Y/N) ran stealthily behind the bluenette.
They were sneaking past the heavily secured front gate. Ayato didn't do as much as make eye contact with her since he'd picked her up. (Y/N) had no regrets to that. The more he hated her, the easier thing would be in the end. She wouldn't risk conversation- for the sake of her mission and Aokigahara, and for the silence required for this escape plan.
Since she'd come into contact with Ayato, (Y/N) had noticed a few things about him.
One, he hadn't fundamentally changed at all. Her leaving only amplified already existing characteristics within him. Stubborn, be that positive or negative; Arrogant, be that bothersome or an advantage; and Careful. Whatever hate was to be thrown his way, one couldn't counter-argue that Kirishima Ayato was a careful man. His boots barely made noise as they grazed the gate, his hands better prepared to slash at the guards napes, driving them unconscious. And Two, he was a man of his word. His behavior around (Y/N) clearly showed he wasn't at all pleased being around her again, let alone hear her name roll off someone's tongue. Brutally cold and irresponsive, the only reason he'd come was because it was his mission. That only bargained the question as to why Eto would send him of all people to pick her up? Because he was Careful? Sly? Stealthy and agile? Or perhaps, deep in core, because she was trying to pick at (Y/N) piece by piece. Everything was a game to her- and this one had to be a fun one to her, concidering she'd allowed Arima to have anything to do with it. She obviously didn't expect (Y/N) to endure long, but such was badly set for her, for enduring emotions of all sorts was what (Y/N) had been trained to do the last twelve years.
(Y/N) didn't care how his bangs swung to the side as he glared with pity down at those below the building's roof. It didn't matter that his blue orbs glazed his prey like a true hunter, that his mouth twitched ever so slightly as he frowned at the CCG, and ripped the tissue from their bone in a matter of a fraction of a second. She wasn't one to be impressed by all that. But the way he swung himself from the roof down to the alleyway to do so, the detailed coordination adapted to the terrain, and his effortless execution of it; that impressed her.
He had obviously gotten somebody not shabby on traditional body combat to train him. (Y/N) mentally smiled to herself. It'd take her from that alleyway to Anteiku to find the algorithm in his actions. He was good on his feet, but she was good with her head. And the head, which makes one good with their feet and the way they used them, is what truly mattered in battle situations.
He scoffed numerous times over their journey there. It seemed as though he wasn't aware that (Y/N) was now a member of Aogiri as well. As they reached the street a corner away from the small café, Ayato's eyes barely grazed her skin "Maybe you should move out of the twentieth ward" he said smugly, the hate drowning his voice.
"Because you're moving in?"
Ayato's orbs swung at hers. He wanted to ask how she knew, but refrained from having any other means of contact, turning away. The last thing (Y/N) saw of him was the violet scarf around his neck as he disappeared back into the shadows of the alleyway.
