He was hurt , his pride wouldn't let him admit his pain
Just as his "pride" made him let you down and leave...
He thought of you , last thing on his mind before jumping and letting the ocean embrace his body
He had the guts to question himself of how you'd feel finding out
Even though he was soaked
Life was being drained out of him
He never believed in the conquering of love as you did or else he would've stayed
Perhaps he chose to walk away because you didn't care enough , you weren't there , were you?
Your mind is desperately searching for answers to get out of your trembling lips and your body
That's shaking nervously in front of the mirror
You start asking yourself eventually
What had gone so wrong leading to all of this? Did I betray? Haven't I cared enough? Did I do something wrong?
They say "love conquers all"
But perhaps he is no longer here
Because it doesn't?
Wasn't it supposed to though? Conquer all?
