Missing You.

A scream of hysteria, sadness and disbelief tore from her throat. Her eyes wide open with horror, and then the blackness consumed her again. Megan's fists clenched, her nails digging deeply into the palms of her hand.
A hand appeared from nowhere and tightened around her wrist. "You're strong so strong, don't let the darkness consume you. Come back to me" a voice whispered. I love you, always and forever".
The tension leaves her body and her limbs fall loose. "Brad? "

Megan opened her eyes slowly letting her eyes adjust to the dark. She sucked in a deep breath as pain throbbed so violently around her skull, she though her head might crack in two.
She tried to lift her hand but couldn't. "What the hell?" Megan realized she was strapped down to a hospital bed. What was it about her that attracted bad luck? She thought. Both her hands and feet were strapped down to a bed.
"Is there any body out there!?" She wiggled against the restraints and stopped when she saw her mother entering the room.                           Teresa switched the light on, blinding Megan with flashing colorful spots making Megan crave darkness.

"Megan," Teresa rushed to her daughter's side with relieve on her face

"Megan," Teresa rushed to her daughter's side with relieve on her face.                                                       Her eyes showed a gentle concern for her daughter. Teresa laid her hand lightly on Megan's shoulder, and instead of flinching or screaming for her not to touch her, she was soothed by it.
"Mom, why am I tied down?" Salty tears drop from Teresa's chin, drenching her blouse.

"You screamed and cried with such rawness Dr Bradford had to sedate you. Brad's death nearly drove you insane."

Megan pressed her head down into the soft pillow. She feels the muscles of her chin tremble like a small child and she lookes at Teresa.

"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, a rawness is all that's left inside me.                                                          His death stole my spirit mom."

"Oh honey just remember love leaves a memory no one can take away."

"That's just it mom, we didn't have time to make memories." Megan tried to sit up.                                               "Mom when is the funeral?"

"Megan honey the funeral was 3 weeks ago. You were so distraught we thought we were going to loose you. You were here, but your mind was somewhere else."

After Teresa took Megan home she went straight to the graveyard. The graveyard was painfully neat. Row upon row of white marble tombstones rose from the perfectly manicured grass.                                                      Each one was too perfect, overly polished and exactly the same as all of the others, except for the name it bore. Each grave had a boutique of red roses.
