the wind blew harshly against louis as he skated through the january air. he was supposed to meet up with harry at a local coffee shop, but they both agreed to go more private and just stay at harry's house.

louis took a few turns after reading his directions again and stopped his skateboard at a small white house. hopefully this was the right place. it had a swing on the porch, a frozen garden and styles was written on the mailbox so louis assumed this was harry's humble abode.

the boy picked up his skateboard and made his way to the door, gently knocking on it. he was greeted by a small woman who looked similar to the man he was trying to visit. she had purple and blue hair, though.

"you must be louis!" she smiled wide and invited him in. "i'm gemma, harry's sister, but you can call me gem. harry's actually in the shower right now so if you wanna join me for a cuppa you can."

"that'd be lovely," louis smiled softly. "um, where do i put this?" he held up his board.

gemma took it and put it in the living room closet, leading him to the kitchen. she made them some tea while louis sat at the table. she noticed the boy was slightly shivering and offered to toss his hoodie in the dryer if he wanted. louis was too bashful to answer so harry's sister pulled his hood over his head, pulled the strings and tied a knot while claiming he was "now a turtle."

louis giggled at her actions and told her what to put in his tea, keeping the hoodie tied up.

harry soon arrived in the kitchen, taken by surprise at the small boy sitting at the table. louis untied his hoodie with a blush and pulled his hood down, standing up. harry strode over and pulled him to his chest quickly, wrapping his arms around the boy.

"i missed you so much," he murmured and felt louis hug him back just as tight. louis murmured an 'i missed you too' and harry pulled back.

"you look amazing, louis. you look so happy and healthy," he said softly, turning his head to see gemma not in the room anymore. louis smiled up at him and harry surged forward, locking their lips. louis cupped his jaw and stood on his tip toes, immediately kissing the man back because he missed him. his touch, his voice, his hair, his lips, everything. he definitely could not keep the man out of his mind. he had only been home for three days and was constantly on the phone with harry when the man wasn't busy.

"i'm so proud of you," harry laid his forehead on louis'. "you're blooming, little flower."

louis' cheeks were dusted a light shade of pink and he peeked up at the man shyly. "really?"

harry nodded and kissed him again. "so, so proud."

louis hummed and laid his forehead on harry's shoulder, just blending into his embrace. his hair was still damp but louis didn't mind.

"i assume my sister made you tea?" the older man hummed, rubbing louis' back. louis nodded and went to the counter, picking up the red mug and followed harry upstairs when the man beckoned for him to come along.

louis was careful not to bump into him as he stepped in a room. there was a large bed in the middle of the wall with a desk diagonal from it. music records and posters were hung up all over the place, plus a bookshelf. harry sat on his bed and took louis' cup, setting it aside.

louis peeled his hoodie off, now in just a shirt and jeans, and sat beside the man.

"i think liam knows," louis bit his lip and looked down at his lap.

"about..?"

"you and i," louis confirmed. "like, i know we aren't really a thing but he sees how i react when you get brought up. he told me about it."

harry fish mouthed. "well, you're not in school and you're of age...so i really don't see a problem."

louis rested on his hands and nodded. "i agree, but i'm worried. what if it costs you your job?"

harry laid his head on his hands and stared up at the ceiling. "i doubt it would, love. you're homeschooled, right?" he looked over at him and watched louis nod his head. "then we would be okay."

louis chewed on his lip. "um..what are we?"

"what do you want to be?" harry asked softly before sitting up. "i want to make sure you're okay and ready, mentally. i know things like this can be hard to come upon after dealing with trauma..."

louis shifted to where he was facing the man, crossing his legs. harry looked him in the eyes as he spoke, taking every word that came out ot his mouth to heart.

"i wanna be with you," louis blushed. "you were there for me through my darkest times and never left. you talked to me, let me talk to you, helped me, everything... i just don't want us to be secretive."

"we don't have to be," harry cupped his jaw with one hand, stroking his cheek with his thumb. "we can be whatever you want to be, lou."

louis nervously leant into his touch and harry inched towards him, bumping their noses.

"would you like to be my boyfriend?" the man asked.

louis leant in and gently pressed his mouth to harry's. it was cheesy to say but he definitely felt the sparks course through him as they kissed. harry slid his hand up and bunched louis' hair in his fist, pulling him to deepen their moment. he shyly prodded his tongue along louis' lip and the blue eyed boy was quick to open his mouth and glide his tongue along harry's.

louis pulled back once he needed air and licked his lips, frantically nodding. "yes, i would love to."

harry smiled cheekily and moved louis' hair out of his face. "stay for dinner."

louis only nodded again before cuddling up to the man, seeking warmth.
