The winds flows both of their strands of red and black locks. Both of them were munching on the red's favorite dango before training their hearts out.
"I'm going to leave soon, for nine months actually." Shina quietly said, munching on her last ball of dango, handing a half of it to Itachi.
Itachi nodded slightly. "You've been my first friend actually." Itachi said, taking the dango from the red headed girl's hands. He munched on it a bit. Shina smiled at his comment.
"Thank you, friend."
Itachi smiled back. He placed his two fingers together and pushed Shina's forehead with it. The red-haired girl responded with a small 'ouch'.
"What was that for?" Shina said with a pout, rubbing her forehead in grimace. Itachi spoke with a smile.
"It symbolizes our friendship and I'm locking it with your forehead." Shina scrunched her nose and asked him once more. "Why my forehead?"
Itachi responded with, "It's because I don't understand why girls hate big foreheads." Shina snorted and responded cockily. "I'm actually proud with my forehead!"
Itachi chuckled and walked on water. "We are just training chakra control today. My jutsu have been weak recently and I'm going to be practicing on it." Itachi said as he walked on watee, leaving ripples against the water.
"I'll help you train today. I have something to work on before leaving." Shina said as she flew herself unto the water. She instantly came back with a small fish flapping around on her hand. Itachi stared at it, obviously dumbfounded at the fish, squirming around the red's hand.
"What are you going to use with a fish?" He asked, pointing at the fish that rests on her hand.
Shina placed down the fish on a small leaf.
"I'm practicing medical ninjutsu." She said as lime green chakra illuminated from her tiny hands. The fish was still squirming around and taking deep breaths.
"I understand." Itachi said, walking towards the water once more, this time with small waves.
It was a happy afternoon. They were occasionally talking about simple stuff, focusing on their training intently.
They decided to finish the day by going to Ichiraku's Ramen.
They sat on one of the empty stools as Teuchi enters with newly delivered uncooked ramen noodles.
"Shina-chan! Uchiha-san! What would I get for you today?" He asks as he ties an apron around his waist. Turning on the machine with hot boiling water, he placed two ramen inside the strainer.
"I would like Miso Pork!" Shina exclaimed cheerfully, dangling her legs.
"I would like miso also." Itachi said as he silently and stiffly sat on the chair.
Teuchi smiled as he grabs the necessary ingredients from his stock room.
"Teuchi-san. Where's Ayame-chan?" Shina asked as she looking for a girl, same age as her, around the owner's stall.
"She's making the noodles at home." The old man responded, preparing a bowl.
Shina nodded as Teuchi gave them both of their ramen. The two gleefully ate their ramen.
~《Time Skip》~
After some occasional talks with Itachi and Teuchi and also eating her favorite ramen. She bid farewell at the two and left towards her home.
She bashfully entered the house and found both of her parents asleep on the couch.
She sweatdropped at the scene.
'Might as well not disturb them. They look tired. I bet it was a C rank mission. C rank escort mission always tire them.'
She decided to buy some onigiri and takoyaki for her parents. So, she went outside of her house once more and walked towards the most delicious takoyaki house.
The takoyaki house was bustling with people, young or old. There seats outside that were packed with families. As soon as she enters, the smell of cooked octupuses filled her nose.
She enters swiftly and grabbed some ryo in her pockets.
"Nee-chan, can I have your cheapest takoyaki? I want two plates of it!" She bashfully said, placing the ryo on the counter. The lady smiled and went to the kitchen to get her takoyaki. Shina waited on the seats near the counter.
The kind lady that took her ryo awhile ago came up to her and asked if she wanted to eat inside the restaurant. Shina responded with, "I'm eating it with my parents, they are tired from a mission awhile ago. I'm buying them some takoyaki for dinner." and smiled at the lady. The lady left to put the ordered takoyaki in a paperbag.
As soon as the lady gives her the bag, Shina left to her house while bidding the lady farewell.
The red-headed girl, once again, entered the house. She took her ninja sandals off and silently walked towards the kitchen.
She starts by cooking rice. She grabbed two cups of rice and placed it inside the rice cooker. She cleans the rice with water, softly swishing the rice, making the water a color white. She drained the water and grabbed the cup and poured in three cups and a half. She wiped the rice cooker with a towel to remove dripping water around it. She finishes it by placing the rice cooker to the rice machine. She pushed the button and it silently start to boil.
Leaving that aside, she took the hot takoyaki from its bag and placed it on the table. The scent of the takoyaki filled her parents' nose. Kushina was the first one to wake up.
"Wahh~ Takoyaki, did you buy this from Aunt Fuwa's Takoyaki house?" Kushina asked as she sat down on the table.
Fuwa was the lady's mother that Shina saw at the takoyaki house.
"I did." Shina said as she placed small bowls on the table for each of them, accompanying with chopsticks.
The rice was finished cooking and Shina wanted it to cool down before making onigiri.
"'Kaa-san, you should wash up before eating dinner. I'll wake 'Tou-san up." Shina said as she walked towards her father quietly. Kushina nodded and removed her jonin vest before going inside her and Minato's room.
With Kushina out of the scene, Shina poked her father's face. Minato responded with groans and shifting from side to side. He eventually waked up and pushed her father to wash up before eating dinner.
Shina made onigiri finishing it with Nori (dried seaweed). They ate delightfully, small talks and laughter.
"Shina, I have something to tell you." Kushina said, a smile plastered in her face as the brim of the cup left her lips. "What is it?"
"You are having a sibling."
Shina's eyes litterally glistened at the news.
"YATTA! (YEAH!)"
Minato sweatdropped at his daughter, Kushina chuckled.
"Have you decided on the name already?" Shina asked before sitting on her seat once more.
"Naruto."
"I could see Naruto's future, he will become the world's greatest hero!" Shina exclaimed, her eyes still glistening at the thought of having a baby sibling. "But what if it's a girl?"
"I-I.. don't know..?" Minato responded, more like asked
"I can't wait! By the time I arrive home, I will get to see my little brother (or sister) sleeping in 'kaa-chan's arms!"
The three bursted into laughter as they danced the night away.
