Even after Shisui died and Shina saw him in the Gate. It was like a replay of Shisui's fall in the Naka river.
In the new, comfy lodge Shina stays in just outside the Cherry blossomed barrier was the ocean with the white sandy shore. It felt quite lonely in the house Shina stayed in. Her insomnia was increasing day by day and it did not help with the Uchiha massacre coming up. Shina didn't know when it'll happen but she knows it's coming near.
Shina was sitting outside with her mug in her hand filled with cold milk while looking at the ocean as she felt the salty breeze of the ocean whip past her. Today was her Kuroikage Ceremony and she told to calm herself down and not worry over the things that were about to happen. Let's just say it only increased her anxiety and it didn't help her current situation of worrying over the Uchiha coup d' etat. Her eyebrows furrowed about Itachi.
What happens after his mission? Is he going to be fine? Where will he go off to? Please, Kami-sama, let him be okay.
A sea of questions ran around the female's head. Knowing Itachi, he has already something in set for his sins. He did say that he was letting Sasuke, his own little brother, would have to kill him, suffering in the Curse of Hatred and being blinded by revenge. After all, Itachi was never the man to stray from his choices. Shina felt useless at this point in Itachi's big turn in his life.
She stared into the ocean with lifeless eyes and then stared at her calloused hands. Her tucked in hair was falling beside her face. She eyed her hair before grabbing the lock of her red hair. It was long, the length of the hair was calf-length. How long did she last cut her hair? I don't know, possibly not once in her life.
A knock stopped her thoughts as she turned her head, she saw her about-to-be advisor of hers, Lenalee.
Shina smiled at the girl, "Good morning, Lena-chan." The redhead said to Lenalee, who replied with a smile. Shina's eyes were caught on the clothes that sat on Lenalee's hands.
"What are those?" Shina asked, pointing at the bundle of clothes in her hands.
"It's your Kage clothes." Lenalee placed it on her bed neatly and slowly looking at Shina, who was facing the sea with tear-stained cheeks.
"How are you holding up, Shina-san?" Lenalee asked even though she knows the answer just by looking at her sorrowful face.
"I guess, just fine." Shina spoke although she didn't know what she felt like right that moment. She felt like as she was an empty doll, for some reason she didn't know. She turned her head to Lenalee, who gave her a curious look.
"Can I ask something you something, Lenalee?" Lenalee flinched but nonetheless gave her a nod. It was quite sometime when Shina called Lenalee her full first name. Shina only calls her like that when its something troubling or somewhat important.
"You're already asking me, Shina-san." Lenalee said with a grin plastered on her face whilst the latter felt her lips curved slightly up. Shina turned head back to the ocean and closed her eyes, feeling the sea breeze kiss her skin.
"Why do the elders, or rather the people chose me as their Kuroikage?"
That was something Lenalee didn't expect. Lenalee walked towards the balcony where Shina was sitting down and let her hands hold her white and red hair.
"We believe you can do this, everyone thinks so." Lenalee replied, wrapping Shina's hair on her fingers.
"You think so?" Shina pulled her lips into a frown that goes unseen by Lenalee.
"You're not choosing me just because I'm the Reaper?" Shina whispered, the familiar sting in her eyes burned and blinked, letting the tears fall.
"Why was I chosen to be the reaper anyway?" Shina croaked, shivering as she held her hands to her face.
"I did so many things that went wrong." Her head ached, remembering from Itachi, Shisui, Naruto, Kakashi. Hell, even her parents. She stood, quivering.
"My mother had to carry the burden just by being Kurama's jinchuuriki. My brother being blamed for destroying his own village. Shisui.. Shisui... He didn't do anything to deserve this.." Shina's legs failed to support her body. Her body pushed the small table that had the mug as the mug crashed down the floor, leaving the glass bits flying. Lenalee stopped and stared at her quivering form with wide eyes.
'She's falling..' Lenalee thought, looking at her. Shina's hair was slowly turning white from her roots to her ends as her skin turning umber gray, grey eyes were wide as silent screams escaped from her mouth.'This is bad!' Lenalee cursed to herself. Lenalee's pointer and middle fingers touched her temple.
"This is bad!" Lenalee's voice echoed in Allen's, Lavi's and Yu's heads, who were sitting in the small cafe they stayed in.
"Oi, beansprout!" Yu's eyes were cautious and alarmed, looking at Allen who mirrored Yu's cautious face.
"I know!" Allen yelled back at Yu. Lavi held his hammer upside down as his hammer extends to his command towards Shina's lodge with Yu and Allen with him, alarming the not-so surprised people.
Shina's silent screaming continued on, clutching her head with cries of agony coming out of her mouth as saliva rolled down her chin.
"Shina-san!" Lenalee pulled Shina's hair back to prevent drool on her hair. Shina coughed vigorously as black blood was spat out from her throat.
Just a little late, Allen activated his weapon on his left and right hand. The left hand has long nails, like talons and black skin with the cross on the back of the left hand while the other was covered in a white glove. Both his hands touched the Reaper's forehead as a bright light shunned Lavi, Lenalee and Yu's eyes, covering their eyes.

Lenalee looked at her heavily breathing superior with worried eyes.
Shina's episode alarmed the Shiroikeshi Squad along with the village elders. Hanako, the only female village elder had a hand to Shina's forehead, checking her temperature. Shina scared everyone to death. Lenalee's eyes found themselves in the balcony where Shina had an episode. Allen was inspecting the black blood that none of the Shiroikeshi knew of nor why did she start coughing up this weird black blood. Lenalee's eyes looked again at her superior.
"How is she, Hanako-sama?" Lenalee asked, her voice sounded like she was on the verge of tears. The teary-eyed girl looked at the village elder, whose eyes held a serious intent and concern as much as the teary-eyed girl had for the bedridden girl.
"She just needs rest for awhile. I suggest you just wait outside and prevent from other people entering her quarters." Hanako's stern voice reached Lenalee's ears. Lenalee wanted to protest but looking at the village elder's face she wasn't taking any excuses. So, Lenalee nodded with her eyes on the wooden oak floor, fiddling with her thumbs. Lenalee stood up with Hanako as the elderly woman followed Lenalee towards the door with Lenalee looking at Shina with one last worried glance before closing the door.
Lavi was already leaning against with wall outside the door with Allen who stared at the white walls opposite to the three teammates. Lavi's brooding eyes looked at the shivering girl. Lavi straightened his back and walked towards the girl who was trying her best to stop the tears falling out. Lavi hugged Lenalee from behind. The girl immediately responded with her face burrowed in his chest.
"You can let it out now." Lavi's all-friendly voice was laced with comfort. Lenalee's eyes were gushing out with salty liquid with silent sobs. Allen looked at the sobbing girl and ran a hand to down her green hair. Lenalee kept muttering out saying it's her fault.
Allen looked at the closed door where Shina resided in.
Shina was falling. Very fast.
