"Let's decide where you'll live from now on, you can visit your parents later." Hokage-sama politely spoke to Shina, grabbing some papers from his drawer.
It contained her adoption papers.
"What's with the adoption papers, Hokage-sama?" Shina said, glancing on the paper that was placed under his hand.
"We need to keep your identity a secret from other villages. Minato already made an amount of enemies outside the country of Fire. We don't want any ruckus running about with the Five Kages about your existance." He explained, occasionally tapping his fingers on his desk.
At that moment, clan leaders were filling the office with ANBUs and Jonins were surrounded in the office, even some went out and decided to watch from the roof.
"You may choose anyone in the room." He gestured the clan leaders inside the room.
There was Fugaku Uchiha, the clan head of the Uchihas. There was Tsume Inuzuka, Hiashi Hyuuga, Shikaku Nara, Inoichi Yamanaka Shinzou Aburame and Choza Akimichi.
"This is Minato's child? She looks like she's a lonely pup." Tsume's voice echoed in Shina's head.
'I am lonely, I have no friends what'dya expect?' Shina spoke in her thoughts in annoyance. 'Except Itachi though.' Inner Shina spoke, holding up her index finger. 'Now that you mentioned it, yeah, I miss Itachi.'
Other people were already reccomending Shina to be in their respective clans. Mainly because of her chakra and her brute strength.
"Ne, Hokage-sama, you told me that I can choose anyone in the room, right?"
Kakashi was sweating like crazy, he didn't trust anyone in the room for Shina's sake. Who knows what'll happen to her. He's worried over his 'little sister'. He didn't trust anyone, especially Fugaku.
Shina looked at Kakashi's figure. She noticed how he was sweating alot, even heard muttering curses under his breath.
"I choose.. Kakashi-nii."
The room was silent. Kakashi's eyes widen and his jaw dropped to floor.
"Is that alright with you? Hokage-sama?"
"I can't say no to that." The Hokage chuckled, hovering the papers to Kakashi, who was right beside him.
Shina gleefully jumped into Kakashi's arms, hugging his neck, which Kakashi hugged back. "Thank you, Hokage-sama." The clan leaders were silent as they watched the scene unfold. Some smiled as some bitterly watched, Hiashi to be exact. Fugaku stayed emotionless.
"Welp, there's nothing here for me. Bye~" Tsume left the vicinity of the Hokage's office with the Aburame and Hyuuga.
"I'll let you sign the papers tomorrow." The Hokage said as he placed the papers back in its drawer.
Tsunade and Shizune left the Hokage office with the remaining clan heads, along with the ANBU's and Jonins.
What's more happier than having siblings brought together?
"Shina, you'll start your academy days after tomorrow. Academy will start again this year. Also, you'll be with the older ones, despite your age. Your knowledge in ninja arts should compatable with the others." Hokage stated.
"You can have the rest of the day spending your time with each other."
As Kakashi and Shina walked towards Kakashi's apartment, Shina sullenly asked Kakashi a favor. With a hesitant nod of a head, Shina ran to the Yamanaka flower shop and bought her favorite Linnaeas and ran to KIA stone.
Placing the flowers on the stone, she let her tears run down her cheeks.
~《 The Day After Tomorrow》~
"Shina, wake up already. You'll be late." Kakashi spoke sleepily. Too bad, he has a mission today with some rogue ninjas infiltraiting citizen that lived around a small village in the forest.
"Is it possible you won't be able to take me home later today?" Shina spoke quietly, fiddlig with knots in her hair. Kakashi ruffled her hair and kissed her forehead.
"I'll make the mission as fast as possible! I won't be able to miss it!" Kakashi smiled through his mask.
"Bye, onii-chan!" Shina smiled gleefully, her red hair swiftly swaying behind her. "Bye."
She hurriedly went inside the academy and immediately spoke to the front desk.
"Shina Miku Hatake."
The lady fumbled with papers and immediately found a letter from the Hokage.
"Give this to the teacher in the classroom in the third floor at left end."
She took the letter from the lady's grasp.
"Thank you!"
She ran towards the classroom where she was supposed to enter, suprisingly, only the teacher was there.
"How can I help you with, young nin?" He asked the red-haired girl. "Uhmm, I am the student that was needed to skip two years. Did Hokage-sama tell you that?"
"Yes. Yes, he did. Is that your papers?" He said, pointing the paper that was in Shina's grip. Shina gave him the paper.
He glanced and skimmed through the paper. "You're the first student to arrive at this moment. You can wait."
Shina went to a seat that was just by a window, more like a seat away from the window.
She decided to lean her head and close her eyes and wait for her other classmates to come. The door slid open, perhaps another student, Shina thought. She didn't bother to wake herself from the peace that was given to her. She didn't even bother to read the all-so-familiar chakra signature.
~《Itachi》~ (yee~)
Itachi slid open the door, the light cascaded his onyx eyes. He rubbed them a bit and let his eyes adjust. Akira-sensei was skimming through papers and a red-headed female 'sleeping'. Her hair was sprawled out on the desks.
'Could that be..?' Itachi trailed his thoughts.
He stepped towards his seat, sitting beside the redhead.
The redhead turned to the direction where the seat was next to the window.
"Eh?"
Her soft grey ones were met with onyx, night skies.
"Itachi!" Shina tackled the Uchiha with delight. Both of them were on the ground, hugging each other to death.
"It's been so long, 'Tachi!" Shina's eyes were all glossy as tears ran down from her grey eyes. Itachi smiled and proceeded to wipe her tears.
"I miss you too.." Itachi whispered and let Shina hear it loud and clear, running his hand down her red hair.
Let's just say they talked alot of stuff.
"Itachi, mind give me like thirty minutes of sleep?" Shina nudged Itachi.
They were already sitting beside each other. "Sure."
And Shina pushed herself into slumber.
