"I heard she was caught kissing Jacob Latimore at Golden Skates and then they had left together. I wonder what else they did," I heard the girl behind me whisper.

"Isn't she dating that Prodigy kid?" a boy next to her asked quietly.

"She was. I don't think he wants her anymore," the girl said with a quiet laugh.

'You probably right.' I thought to myself.

"Dang. I didn't think she was that type of person."

"Yea. It's pretty sad."

I rushed to my feet as the bell had finally rang, and I quickly made it to my locker.

"Tay, you aight?"

I opened my locker and placed my English notebook and Science textbook in, ignoring the familiar voice.

I grabbed my Math textbook out of my locker and it slipped out of my small hands. As I bent down to pick up the book, I dropped my bag and everything inside had fallen out.

I stood back up and sighed to myself. Troy quickly bent down to help pick up all of my belongings.

After all of my papers and books and pencils and pens were picked up off the ground and back in my bag we both stood up.

"Thank you," I said. He nodded in response. "No I'm not alright, by the way."

"I heard what had happened," he told me as he successfully put his combination in his locker and opened it.

"I'd be surprised if you hadn't." I continued switching books out between my locker and backpack. "Everyone knows."

"I'm sorry."

"What for? You have nothing to do with this."

He was silent as the lunch bell rang once more.

I zipped my bag up and shut my locker before walking away and slinging my bag over my shoulders. I hurried over to the cafeteria so I could get my lunch and go.

I stood in line for about five minutes, grabbing a wrapped up chicken sandwich, a bag of grapes, and a bottle of Strawberry Kiwi Snapple. As I held my food in my hands I began walking to the door.

As I was walking, I felt eyes on me. I looked around, but no one was looking at me. I looked straight at the door and I still felt eyes on me. I decided to ignore it. I opened my bottle of Snapple to take a sip when I had suddenly fell over, spilling strawberry kiwi Snapple all over my shirt and glasses. I slipped my glasses off and wiped the juice off. After wiping my glasses and my face off I looked around and saw everyone looking at me and laughing. I looked down then back up and saw a familiar face smirking at me.

Carla.

She tripped me as I was walking and now I have nothing to wash down this dry chicken sandwich. I picked up my sandwich and grapes as I picked myself up off the floor and continued walking out of the cafeteria.

Prodigy's POV

Everyone has been talking about Taylor today. I don't understand how everyone knows about that, but I guess that's what happens when you associate yourself with celebrities. I've kind of been avoiding her today because I don't know what to say to her. She hurt me pretty bad, but I truly love her.

I sat at the table that Taylor and I normally sit at, waiting for her to come by. As I waited, I took a bite of a cold potato wedge and looked to see where Taylor was. I saw her leave the register, but she walked right pass the table. I continued to watch her to see where she was going to sit, but then Carla had tripped her. Taylor's Snapple had ended up all over her white shirt and on her face and glasses. I quickly got up to put my tray away and I placed my food in my bag, but when I was done she had already gotten up and left out the cafeteria doors. I rushed out the doors as well. I already knew where she went.
