Cloudpaw woke up to the continuous hissing and yowling of fighting cats. Remembering what happened a few minutes ago, she shot up and saw the gray cat and black cat clawing each other's pelts. The gray apprentice looked at her. "Go get out of here!" He yowled Cloudpaw did exactly as told and vanished into the medicine den. Before she disappeared she asked, "What's your name?" The gray apprentice pushed away the black tom and padded up to her. "Graypaw." He responded "How about you?" Cloudpaw blushed lightly and mewed back "Cloudpaw...". She just stared into his sky blue eyes.
It seemed that the rest of the world around her was tuned out. All she could focus on was Graypaw. The Shadowclan cats started to retreat. "I have to..." Graypaw trailed off. "Before you go," Cloudpaw continued "will you be at the next gathering?" She asked. "Yeah I think so" the Shadowclan apprentice meowed. "See you then?" She said nervously. "See ya" he glanced at her before bounding away.
She was sad to see him go, but it was for the best. Thunderclan couldn't have fought for longer. As the last few Shadowclan cats where chased out, she saw the black apprentice glaring at her before disappearing into the fern tunnel. She could feel his eyes burning through her. Chills ran down her spine as she realized that this cat had some beef with her or, more likely Graypaw. Spottedleaf broke through her thoughts "Come on let's go tend to the clan." She nudged her. Cloudpaw started back at the ravine and started to miss the gray tom.
"How's your wounds?" Cloudpaw asked her sister Stormpaw. "Fine." She meowed. "Those Shadowclan cats where fierce! They almost won." Stormpaw finished. She started grooming herself and her wounds. Cloudpaw and Stormpaw chatted about training and the battle that day. Cloudpaw told her sister about how Graypaw saved her life instead of helping his own clan mate. "Really??" Stormpaw gasped. "Yeah!" Cloudpaw purred. "I think I might like him." Cloudpaw nervously smiled.
"No no no!! Cloudpaw do you realize what your doing?! Your LIKING a different clan cat!" Stormpaw warned her sister. "Yeah I know it's wrong but I can't control my feelings!" Cloudpaw cried. "Look," Stormpaw meowed. "I'll help you with this, but you have to make the decision yourself. Do you want to be with this cat, break two things of the warrior code, or find some cat new and be loyal to your clan." Stormpaw hazed into her sisters eyes. "I don't know, yet..." Cloudpaw said shyly. "When you do, let me know." Stormpaw licked her sister's head affectionately before passing away. She cuddled up to Goldenpaw and slept the night away. Cloudpaw looked up at the stars of silverpelt. "What should I do..."
