Cloudfall's Journey

Chapter Ten

Lolz I'm back from the dead. Gotta new chapter. Seriously tho, this is a mile stone for me cuz I reached chapter ten without rage quitting. So same as before the story will come chopped up because since I was dropped in the ditch of school, I ain't got time to write a chapter in one sitting. Enjoy!

     Cloudpaw walked through the ravine and into camp to see the cats all gathered around the entrance. "What's going on?" she murmured to herself. "It's time for a gathering!" Moonleaf mewed beside her. "You and your sister are going!" She finished with a purr. Cloudpaw's eyes lit up like green embers. Not only it was her first gathering, but she was going to have her second meeting with Graypaw!

       Without saying a word she dashed over to Spottedleaf and squealed. "What are gatherings like??" She asked her mentor happily. Spottedleaf sat down and smiled at her. "It's when all the clans gather round at the full moon to discuss the buisness and concerns of each clan." She explained. "Cool!" Cloudpaw purred with delight. She looked across he clearing for Stormpaw. At the edge of the group of cats, her eyes found the young sister.

      She trotted over to her. "Hey Stormpaw!" She greeted. Stormpaw looked over to her sister and met her in the middle. "Hi Cloudpaw!" She returned. "Sooooo," Cloudpaw Said excitedly, "Are you excited or what!!" She asked her sister. "I'm so excited that if I were to be more excited, I'd be vibrating!!" Stormpaw joked. Cloudpaw let out a mrrroow of laughter.

       Finally Lilac appeared out of her den and in front of the cats. "Everyone eat, clean themselves and use the restroom?" The leader asked her clan. All the cats nodded at different times. The deputy Tawnyfoot padded beside her. Lilac smiled at the young deputy. She heard one of the kits from the nursery shout "I wanna go too!! I'm a warrior!!" Cloudpaw turned her head around to see it was Shorekit. She giggled and followed after her sister.
She could hear Shorekit's mother Specklepelt rouse him and turn back to the nursery.

     After the walk which felt like forever to Cloudpaw was coming to an end, she could see a bunch of cats gathered around the great rock. Her clan padded down as Lilac jumped up to the rock to join the other leaders.

     Cloudpaw started to scan the clearing rapidly for Graypaw. "What are you looking for?" She heard a voice ask from behind. Startled, she whirled around to see it was Stormpaw. I can tell her. It's not like she'll betray me. "Well, that Shadowclan apprentice eh- Graypaw! You remember him right?" Cloudpaw told her sister. Stormpaw stepped back in shock. "I hope your just friends." Cloudpaw felt hot. She looked away and sadly mewed "Of course..." Stormpaw then put her paw on the older sisters shoulder. "I just want to protect you. You know that right?" Stormpaw reassured her sister. Cloudpaw just jerked away and looked at her sister. She stared into her eyes. "Yeah I know..." Cloudpaw meowed before passing by Stormpaw and making her way in front of the great rock.

     She looked behind her to notice that her sister was with Goldenpaw talking to other apprentices. Cloudpaw never felt more left out. When she was about to swish her head around she heard a distant voice. "Cloudpaw!" It was Graypaw!" The young Shadowclan apprentice was rushing over to her. Cloudpaw giggled. "Watch out Graypaw you're gonna- she was cut off by their bodies crashing into each other.

      Cloudpaw closed her eyes tight. She felt her body against the grass and opened her eyes slightly. Her eyes widened as she realized that Graypaw had landed on top of her! Their noses were touching slightly. Red blush spread across her cheeks as they parted. "I-I'm sorry" Graypaw stuttered in embarrassment blushing dark red. Cloudpaw rubbed against the gray cat. "It's ok" she purred. She closed her eyes. Nothing could ruin this. She felt his purr rising in his throat too.

     She fluttered open one eye and saw the other Shadowclan apprentice, Nightpaw, the cat to attack her and Graypaw at the Thunderclan vs Shadowclan battle not to long ago. His eyes, even though he was blind, were blazing with anger. She knew that he couldn't see them clearly but he somehow knew! How?? She thought to herself.  "Cloudpaw?" Graypaw's warm voice interrupted her thoughts. She realized her face was scrunched up in wonder. Cloudpaw pulled away and fixed her expression. "I'm sorry, I was just spacing out." Cloudpaw explained. At that very moment, the clan leaders rose. The meeting began with Lilac staring coldly at the Shadowclan leader, Darkstar.

Ok I'm done for now. I wanted to leave y'all on a cliff hanger. Now you have got a Gray x Cloud moment. Ya welcome
