A ringing of a cellphone grabbed the man's attention, he wipped the dirt on his hand on the grew apron he wore. The man, standing before a stove, took the cellphone out of his pocket, reading the name written on the screen before answering the call.
The young man stirred the pot filled with the fish sauce he made for today's dinner. „Hey", he answered casually, using a rather expressionless voice, as if the person calling was disturbing him on something important.
The younger man on the other end of the line sighed deeply hurted from his choice of voice. He knew very well that his friend always had a blank expression, always serious and straight forward but sometime, he even judged him wrong despite knowing him very well. Due to his friend's cold expression, he misread him for not taking him serious and not caring about him. Because of his childhood friend's odd personality, did they go seperate ways. It was the best choice he ever made in his entire life. He scratched at his head, leaving the past between them behind. „Morning... How are you?"
„Did you just call me to ask me about my wellbeing?", the latter asked, his face nonchalant as always. Even if he tried to make an effort to sound happy for him to call him, his character didn't allow him to change for a minute. The history between them wasn't sweet enough for him to change for the better. He spooned the sauce, blowing air onto it to cool it down before taking it in his mouth to taste it. It tasted delicious, just like always, but instead of making a happy face for the delicious taste, he just nodded and turned away to face his table.
„Can't you sound happy for once, huh... Singto?", the man on the other line asked him, dead serious about his task.
The person called Singto remained silent, it was a difficult task for him to accomplish. If he had asked him to punch someone for him, he wouldn't hesitate to do it for him. But asking him to smile, was something else.
However, the younger man shrugged, didn't even wait too long for the latter to reply. He just knew that his friend would have difficulty to fulfill his wish. He was putting Singto in a bind with his never ending wish this time. „Before we went seperates way, we promised to each other to be still friend and tell each other's about our life, right...", he lowered his voice, „I'm calling today to tell you that I'm finally moving on...", another sight left his mouth, his sad expression gone forever, it was replaced with a rather happy face, „I finally found someone who can make my heart beat in happiness..."
Singto fell silent more than before. He didn't make any sound, not even a breathing sound, as if he was dead the moment. Maybe he wished that he was dead, wanting to get rid of the sting in his chest, disturbing his heart, making it beat restless. He couldn't stand straight anymore so he sat down on the chair. Even if it was for a very brief moment, his face just changed. He looked... sad... hurt... disappointed. Surely, he felt something but brushed it off after a short moment. „I see... I'm happy for you, Oaujun..."
While Singto was fighting with himself to not let his friend know about the pain in his chest, Oaujun couldn't hide his happiness anymore. He blushed, his whole face turning bright red. Singto couldn't let him notice his pain that occured out of pain, he continued the discussion, „Who is the lucky man?"
„No, no, no... I'm the lucky man for having found someone as innocent, sweet, gentle and caring like him in my life...", Oaujun said too proudly, he seemed to be in cloud nine for now.
