Flashback

1 Day before Krist's disappearance

The Sangpotirats ate their lunch together with the special guest Singto Prachaya Ruangroj, the leader of their bodyguards, peacefully in the dining hall. The lunch went more smooth than Singto had imagined. His employer didn't try to murder him with his cold gazes or hired gunmen but just let him finish his served dishes in peace before returning to his duty. Since it was the first time in more than 15 years that the 2 Sangpotirats ate together with a guest after the disappearance of Mrs. Sangpotirat, they weren't accustomed to the situation. The father was rather calm and ate his dish silently, no one knowing whether he was content with the constellation or not. His poker face helped him to hid his emotions during the lunch. However, Krist couldn't help but have a grin on his face the whole time. He looked permanently at Singto, having this curiosity gleaming in his eyes as if he wanted to bombarb him with questions but was holding back his interest.

Why Krist was silent during the lunch? He sensed someone gazing sharply at him from aside whenever he intended to question Singto, the person signalising him to keep his calmness to not embarrass himself. The person was none other than his father. Mr. Sangpotirat remained quiet but was sending few warnings toward his son that he shouldn't be too curious about his subordinate's private life. Because of him fearing the consequences of him showing too much interest in Singto, he never came to ask the questions that were swirling in his pretty mind. He didn't know how his father would react toward Singto later so he decided to keep his mouth shut to keep Singto from meeting his father's wrath. However, he swore to ask the questions later when Singto and him were alone.

In the other hand, Singto felt strange while sitting there between his ex-boyfriend's murderer and the man's son, didn't know whether this unexpected invitation would jeopardize his work or not. Besides, he didn't eat with anyone for the last three years ever since Jun left him. He always spent countless nights and his free days alone in his flat with only dim lights allowing him to see clearly in the lonely darkness. He didn't like to eat with his subordinates either so he never went to their department's dinners with his colleagues after they successfully closed a pain-in-the-ass case. It was very rare that he sat there and ate together with people he barely knew but he couldn't sort out his feelings when eating with his employers. There were mixed feelings inside him, he was confused, restless and slightly worried that a single mistake from him could influence his life forever. His work, moreover his life depended whether he didn't irritate the older Sangpotirat or not.

Although Krist never mentioned his plan to eat lunch with his father and Singto to anyone, the maids already found out about Singto eating with their employers. The maids, always experts in gossip and spreading rumours, investigated on their own and finally came to the conclusion that the head of the bodyguards and the Sangpotirats were having lunch together. They would like to be present there but they weren't invited in there so they could only peep from outside the window in the dining hall.

After the lunch Mr. Sangpotirat announced to his son and his subordinates about his plan to have a banquet to celebrate his freedom. The mansion was put upside down the moment the maids heard his order. Since they didn't have much time to prepare for the banquet, they had to rush everything to be on time. The female butler took care of calling the catering team to order the most delicions, culinary and expensive dishes for the feast. Her order was immediately carried out by the catering agency the second the name Sangpotirat sounded in their ear. The gardener and his pupils embellished the grand garden where the party would take place, the maids were busy cleaning the entire house. Even the bodyguards were busy ensuring the security of their employers and the visitors during the banquet. Singto wasn't prepared for this event so he had to cancel their training. He wasn't pleased about the cancellation but the guards were content because they were saved from their leader's deadly trainings. Singto had to thought for three security measures in case of emergency during the banquet, he liked to have not only a Plan B but also a Plan C to be sure that nothing would go wrong when unexpected attack happened.
