25. An old acquaintance

I know that this story was on hold but I decide to update it. It's a very long chapter so have fun reading it :)

Flashback

Shortly before the accident on the freeway

Toptap and Alice were sitting in a car on the parking lot in front of a street where only clubs, restaurant and other entertainment building were built. Their small vehicle was parked not too far away from a tiny black car that didn't catch much attention of the passersby because of its simplicity but was bulletproofed for safety reason. They were staring at a certain restaurant on one side, their eyes never left the small restaurant which flat decorations let anyone know that only cheap food would be served there. Alice would steal short glances from her surroundings from time to time to make sure that no suspicious person was lurking around and approaching the place they had to guard for a reason.

They were in high alert as if they were expecting something dangerous to happen while guarding that place but their calm expression revealed that they were actually a little bit relaxed too. Their fingers weren't on the trigger of their gun since they were sure that the enemies didn't know about their current whereabout. Apparantly, they were waiting for someone to leave the restaurant. 2 young men left the restaurant where they were eating not long ago and climbed in the black, bulletproofed vehicle. Finally the two handsome men they were waiting for, drove away but Toptap didn't follow them yet. He had to wait for a moment before driving behind them.

Their leader had given them the order to follow behind them during their trip but they had to leave some distance behind them so the young man they were supposed to protect wouldn't feel their presence behind him or he would panic again. He still feared these two bodyguards for the tortures they put him through before during the time they had abducted him so it was necessary to leave some space between them and give him his time to feel accustomed around them again. The said man was Krist Sangpotirat, their leader Singto Ruangroj. However, even if Krist still didn't like them, he didn't have any choice as to accept them as his shadows who would tail him from now on and protect him because these two were the best choice they have till now. Not only were Alice and Toptap skilled fighters, they also had promised to devote their life to protect him too since they have done him wrong before and wanted to make it up to him to ask for forgiveness. Besides, today they were the only bodyguards there to support them in dangerous situation because Singto didn't take the other bodyguards with them since he wanted to allow the young boss to have a day without a bodyguard following every of his step. It was Krist's wish to feel free for once and Singto was to give him that freedom today.

After giving their leader the opportunity to widen the distance between them, Toptap pressed on accelerator and wanted to follow them. However, he didn't come far to catch behind them as another car drove from the other direction in their lane and collided against them. Surely, it was done on purpose! Toptap and Alice were in high alert all the sudden. Unfortunately their vehicle was so severly damaged that the airbags popped out and blocked them from escaping the situation earlier. Toptap had a bleeding cut on his forehead, Alice seemed to be suffering from a broken arm. He managed to grab in his shoe and fished the small knife out, stabbed both airbags and fred them from their problem. Both bodyguards jumped out of their vehicle and intended to chase after their leader and Krist but four black clothed men charged at them with each one of them hoding a bat. Toptap bent backward to avoid the bat swung at him, he bent up sideway and rammed his fist on the enemy's rips. He had used such amout of strength in the fist that the opponent threw up right away and fell down, curling in pain on the ground. He was holding on his rips, apparantly Toptap had broken few rips there.
