Chapter Twenty-One

I come through the surface of the water.

"I distracted you didn't I?" Niall asks, pulling me close into a hug.

"That wasn't very nice!" I say, before he kisses me softy, making me smile into his lips.

Sean and Dillan are laughing and Niall and I start to giggle again too. We all climb out of the pool and dry off as we talk. When all of us are dry Sean and Dillan walk over and they both give Niall and I a hug.

"Bye Kendall, it was nice to meet you, can't wait to see you again at your wedding!" Sean says, after saying something similar to Niall.

"Nice meeting you Kendall, maybe if your fiance will let me, I can come to London to visit you guys sometime!" Dillan jokes, "Niall, I'm going to come throw a party at your house soon!"

"Thanks Sean, come visit anytime!" I say, "And Dillan, come throw a party, but you are also cleaning the mess! It was nice meeting both of you as well."

I let Niall lead his friends to the door, while I go to my room to take a shower.

When I get out of the shower, I put on a t-shirt and shorts and I brush my hair. I step out of the bathroom and I smell Nandos. I'm starving, I haven't eaten all day. I happily walk into the kitchen to find Niall and his dad, Bobby, sitting at the kitchen table. Niall jumps up from his seat and walks towards me. He takes my hand and walks me to the table. He pulls a chair out for me and I sit down at the table.

"My dad called on his way home from work asking me what we wanted from Nandos, so I got your favorite." Niall says, smiling as he hands me my take-out box.

We all eat and talk. When we finish, we throw the take-out boxes away and Niall tells me that he is going to take a shower. I decide it would be a good time for me to talk to Niall's dad, since I really haven't got to talk to him much. Bobby walks into th living area and I follow him. He takes a seat on the couch and I sit in a chair next to it. Bobby looks over to me and smiles.

"You're a very nice girl." he says

"Thank you." I say, smiling.

"No problem, I'm glad Nialler found you, you're really sweet and I'm happy that you are going to be my future daughter-in-law." he says, still smiling.

"Me too." I say, "I would probably be back in Florida working at a surf shop if I hadn't met Niall and decided to continue my dream of becoming a model, now I've been modeling some."

"That's good!" Bobby says, "I've also heard that you are taking online college classes?"

"Yes." I confirm, "I'm almost finished too! I only have three more tests to take!"

"That's good! I'm proud! Nialler sure picked a good girl, like I've said!" Bobby exclaims.

"No, I'm the one who picked a good boy!" I say.

"It's been good talking to you, but I have to work until three tomorrow, so goodnight Kendall." he says, standing up from the couch.

"Goodnight." I say, as he starts to walk to his room.

I walk back to my room as well, deciding that I might need some sleep. When I walk in my room, Niall steps out of the bathroom. He has on his usual sleeping attire, athletic shorts. He hugs me and as I wrap my arms around him, I can't get over how warm his skin is. I kiss him gently before I walk into the bathroom and shut the door behind me to brush my teeth.

When I come out of the bathroom, Niall is propped up on some pillows watching the news on a small television that sits on the dresser. As I crawl under the covers on my side of the bed he stretches his arm out, letting me rest my head on his shoulder.

"Goodnight babe, I love you." I whisper, as he kisses me gently.

"Goodnight, I love you too." he says, as he turns the t.v. off and slides further under the covers, resting his head on his pillow.

I look one more time into Niall's baby blue eyes, as they look into mine. I close my eyes and I smile as I drift off to sleep.

A\N So this is my first authors note! Personally, I think I've gotten better at writing this story the more I've written. Lol! In my next chapter I've decided to try something new and write it in Niall's P.O.V., so I hope you like it!
