i hesitantly, opened the car door for her. she came out, the layers of perfume she sprayed on overwhelmed me. "thank you babe." mina flipped her hair and handed over the many shopping bags to her servants who were waiting out her house.

after they went in, mina stared into my blank eyes. "what is it that you really want?" she asked.

"to be with who i really love." i saw it, those words pierced right through her heart. she brushed it away with flipping her hair and clearing her throat. she then let out a smile as she forcefully layed her lips on mine.

i grabbed her waist which was lying above mine, pushed her away. "we need to set some ground rules."

"in this arranged marriage," i particularly made arranged stand out, which made her disheartened.

"there will be no skinship."

"not like you can resist me, babe." she winked as she carressed my face.

"go in." i sternly said as i make my way into my car, getting ready to set off. out of the blue, mina knocked on the windows and i rolled it down. "what else, bitch?"

"i would have prefered sweeter names like darling but bitch would do for now." she handed me over a card. an invitation card to be specific.

"with your incompetence, i am already halfway done with the planning of our wedding." it was payback time. she was now piercing words through my heart.

i flipped it open,

You are formally invited to the wedding of Lee Hyukjae and Song Mina.

venue: Skyroom Rooftop
date: 30th August 2018
time: 12noon-7pm

my mouth gaped open, "yes the date's changed. again." mina answered the question lingering on my mind. "the invitations will be handed out tomorrow morning. don't worry, i'm inviting your friends as well." she walked in with strides of victory.

i tossed the invitation card, getting a headache. i rest my head on the steering wheel for a moment and i move off.

i looked at my phone beside me, it was already 10pm. i make my way home as i just wanted to sleep, wishing all of this would go away.

i flip my hair over and brush it, making sure there were no knots that would annoy me. i let out a sigh as i looked at my hair. "what can i do with it..." my thoughts trail off as my mom called for me.

"jieun! kim jieun!" i slide over a hairtie on my wrist just in case for later in the day, and walk to the kitchen with my hair down.

i helped her carry some of the grocery bags as she just came back from the mart.

she took out some mail from the backpocket, "picked it up on the way, check if anything's addressed to you." there were a ton of envelopes. i made sure my mom would be okay with the groceries before i made my way to the living room, sitting on the couch.

i scanned through phone bills, house bills, insurance. nothing that really were important, till i saw it. that rose gold envelope at the very last, addressed to Kim Family.

i opened it, and a glittery invitation was waiting to be read.

i froze. i realised what this was.

"honey, anything for you?" my mom shouted from the kitchen. i immediately picked up my totebag, slipped on some sandals and was off to school.

i slammed the door, but was soon opened again by my mom. "honey?"

i turned behind and put on my greatest smile, "off to school, bye!"

i then walked briskly to school, with so many thoughts wrecking my mind. once i reached, i already heard the whole college talking about it. mumbling and conversations were done here and there. even their invitation was put up on the noticeboard, which made everyone interested.

when it was breaktime, i met up with siwon for a while.

"did hyukjae come?" he asked while i shook my head, as we are in the same lecture.

"i don't know if you're planning to go. a part of me wants you to as we have a long history with him, wouldn't it feel weird if you did not go, not wishing your long time friend all the best?"

hearing 'friend' broke my heart. we really could just be friends huh?

"but the other part wants you to just stay home. sit this event out, because i know how much of an impact it'd leave on you."

i shrugged hearing his words, i was utterly confused and i did not know what to do.

"are you gonna go?"

"yeah, he wants me as his best man. i can't say no."

i let out a small smile, "thats great. on whether i'm gonna go, i'll think about it first."

siwon felt relieved and engulfed me into his warmth. after a minute, "lets go get some food, i'm starving." he pouted, grabbed my hand and we ran to the cafeteria.
