Chapter 4

*Luke's POV*

After the first night with Angel and her nightmare I kept myself on guard. Every night she ended up in my bed after yet another nightmare.

The week is almost over an I'm freaking out. We had one day left beige Angel and my mom left to go back home. I can't have Angel in Australia and me half way across the world. What if something happens to her? I can't let that happen. So here I am having the same argument with my mom that we've been having all week.

"Mom I'm begging you. Pleas just let her stay with me on tour. Please!" I beg

"Luke I just don't think it's a smart idea. I'm her legal guardian now and until she tunes 18 I don't want her on tour." She says crossing her arms.

"It's been four years and I get one weeks it's my best friend?! Mom come on! What is going to happen to her on tour? Nothing! But there are thousands of things that could happen if she half way across the world without me." I say the last part quietly an look at my feet.

"Oh Luke. I k ow you love her. And I mean love as in more than just your best friend." She puts her hand on mine an gives me a knowing look.

"Is it that obvious or is it just cause your my mom?" I ask

"I am your mother an I can read you like a billboard." She says laughing

"So mom can Angel please please come with me on tour? I promise I will take the best care if her! The safest place for her is with me." I plead

"Fine. I give up she can stay. But you have to ask her about it. If she doesn't want to stay she's coming home with me."

"Thank you mom! Your the best! I live you so much!!" I hug her tightly before bounding out of the hotel room an into my own.

I find Angel sitting in there talking with Calum. They laugh and she looks happy. I missed the happy Angel that used I spent so much time with growing up.

"Hey guys. Angel wings I have something to ask you!" I say excitedly

"Wow I haven't heard that name in a while." She says smiling and making me blush. "What's your question Lukey?"

I roll my eyes at her name for me but smile anyway. "I already talked to my mom and she said that if your alright with it then its ok with her. So would you like to come on your with us?" I say

She doesn't say anything she just looks at me with her mouth agape. My smile fades. This is not what I was hoping for. All the sudden her emotions change and she's smiling from eat to ear.

"Luke that would be the most amazing thing ever! To be honest I was dreading having to leave." She says running over to hug me.

"Yes!" I hear Calum and two other voices say.

I look at him in confusion and he hold his phone up.

"I called Ash and Michael as soon as I knew what you were asking her. We may or may not have been bugging Liz about it constantly." He says smiling proudly.

"Yeah! Angels coming on your with us!" I hear Ashton tell from the other line.

I just laugh and Calum hang up on them.

"Ok but the real question is what's the story behind Angel Wings?" Calum asks.

"Oh man this is my favorite story." Angel says smiling and sitting next to me in the bed "Go ahead and tell them Lukey."

"Wow ok. Where do I start."

*flashback*
2004 Northwest Elementary

She was sitting alone at lunch again. I had only met her once the day she moved into the house next to mine. Her name was Angel. Kinda strange but I like it. I feel bad for her in a way. She's seemed nice when I met her but she's always alone.

I take my tray and my table of friends. They all asked where I was going but I ignore them. When I make it to her table she looks up with a startles look.

"Oh hi. Luke right?" She asks looking back down at her food that is untouched.

"Yeah hey Angel." I say sitting down

"You know you don't have to sit with me. Go back to your friends k don't kind being alone." She says quietly

Just as I'm about to reply Kendra Luck the meanest girl in our class walks up and "accidentally" spills her milk all over Angels head.

"Oops! Sorry Devil. My mistake." She smirks and throws her a dirty look.

"Her name is Angel!" I yell in Kendra's direction.

"Oh so now your gonna stand up for the little outcast?" She laughs and sticks her tongue out at me. "Both of you are losers." Then she walks away

"Don't listen to Kendra she just mean."

After lunch we all went to recess and I walk up to Angel when Kendra walks up.

"You should really stop talking to that loser of a new girl if you want to have any friends." She says holding her hands behind her back.

"Whatever Kendra I don't care. I want to be Angels friend." I start to walk away.

"Luke look out!" I hear Angel yell and then she talked me to the ground.

I watch the two eggs Kendra had in her hand hit the ground behind where I was standing.

"I knew your name was Angel for a reason. I guess your wings are just invisible."

*reality*

"And ever since that day I've called her Angel Wings. So people know that her wings are just invisible." I finish

Angel blushes and Calum let's out a loud 'Awe' she hugs me and I smile at her. She will always be my Angel.
