Many believe that there's always a dimension between dimensions, well, that is true. As no zone prison happens to be one of them throughout the galaxy, and it is the only place where the worst of all criminals come as punishment for their wrong doings. The prison cops, known as the no zone cops, travel to other dimensions to capture these criminals, and they are all led by one leader. Zonic the Hedgehog. The prison's most favorite and famous zone cop of all. He has just returned from another of his missions to the multiverse, and he didn't come alone.
Zector the Crocodile, one of his generals, opened the trunk of their vehicle, which held new prisoners for the jail, so they can come out and enter, while keeping in check with their cooperation. "That's it! keep it moving! I don't want anyone slacking in this walk down the lane!" Zector commanded. "Calm down Zector, these guys aren't as bad as those already in here" Zonic said. "Excuse me sir but...What?! You can't mean that we have to go soft on these guys!" Zector exclaimed. "No, that is not what I meant general Zector, what I mean is lower down your voice on these guys, because they're not much of a threat than those already inside waiting for them."
Zonic is known to be the strongest and fastest of all zone cops. No other zone cop throughout the entire corporation has been able to beat his record or master what he knows, thus making him the first in many to ever be as skilled and quick-thinking while gaining even more wisdom along the journey in his career. His generals are close to his record, but even they could not catch up to their leader fast enough. After Zonic and Zector put the inmates to their places in prison, they made their way to the dining hall for lunch, taking a well deserved break from a tiring day today. Zonic and a few other zone cops had to fight against a tough opponent in a dangerous dimension earlier that day, as they needed to record everything they could about what they just faced. Weakness, Strengths, intentions and so on, so hopefully, what they had gathered will be enough for the chief.
Once they got their trays and sat down in the same table to eat, Zespio the Chameleon, Zonic's other general, came up to them with his tray. "Welcome back Sir Zonic, and Sir Zector. How was the mission?" Zector sighed and swallowed his food before he replied. "It was harder than we thought at first. The tough guy had us out beat despite every attempt and strategy we had. In the end we had to have Zonic do all of the hardest works, and thus making him do almost everything we needed to do in the mission. I feel bad that we couldn't do anything other then document every information we can down in our equipment, while Zonic risks his life to help not just protect us from the bad guy, but the equipment as well and risk losing all of the data." Zespio nods in agreement. "Yeah, it'd be nice for Sir Zonic to work with someone like him one day." The two continued to chat with each other as their leader began walking off, having finished his meal faster than his followers, he made his way down the hall to his office.
However, that didn't mean he didn't hear what they were just talking about. He sighed as he walked through the halls, the nearby cops saluting him as he passed them, and acknowledging their respect by nodding back, before entering his office. He sat down at his desk and sighed again as he started writing his report about the mission, while thinking about what his generals were talking about. Though he admitted to himself that having someone of his status to be his partner will be beneficial to the no zone prison, it still does not compare to him wanting a mate, and it will be beyond his dream to have someone who is equal as skilled as him in this job to be his mate. 'Sometimes...I wish I can have someone who is somewhat equal to me to be as my soulmate.' Zonic thought as he finished his report and started making his way to the chief's office.
And so the zone protectors continued on with their days, until the next day. An intruder suddenly breached into the no zone prison, and released all of the inmates on the loose. Zonic and every other no zone cop immediately sprang into action and do what they can in the situation, generals Zector and Zespio helped capture and control the inmates, as Zonic went on to find the intruder. After a while of searching, he finally found him, talking and pointing his pistol to an inmate that he's actually familiar with. Scourge the hedgehog. He didn't know why he was talking to him in particular, but that didn't matter at the moment. He took out his pistol and used the bullet to graze the jacket sleeve of the intruder to get his attention, and that also made him drop his pistol. "Both of you! Get down from the conveyor belt!" After that, they definitely saw him, and it seemed like the two said something to each other before the intruder jumped down to Zonic and started attacking him.
As they fought, Zonic used the opportunity to talk to this person who has invaded the no zone prison. "Who are you? And why are you attacking no zone prison?" He couldn't see the face of the figure he's fighting with, but he can tell that he's a hedgehog. A male hedgehog, and he replied. "I didn't come to attack the no zone, or release the prisoners. In fact, I'm here for a different reason,but I cannot tell you that reason. All you have to know is that I have to do this." And they continued to fight, unaware of the scene that will unfold. "I believe this is a misunderstanding Zonic. I never wanted to fight you. I wish I can explain to you." That statement shocked Zonic. How did this person know his name when he has never even seen him before? So he decided to stop the fight so he could let the intruder explain himself. "Very well, you may explain to me now."
However, before anyone can say anything further, a bullet came out of nowhere and struck Zonic in the head. Breaking his visor and making him fall to the ground as he started bleeding heavily. The Bullet was shot by Scourge, who got a hold of the pistol from the intruder when he dropped it earlier. "Zonic?" Before Zonic could hit the ground, the stranger caught him and gently laid him down as he heard a cough from Zonic. "Thank goodness, I thought you were dead from that shot." And that statement got Zonic even more puzzled, but he couldn't think very straight at the moment with the bullet in his head. So he managed to say with a heavy breathe. "I don't understand. Who are you? How do you know me so well? Why do you care so much?" Just then, Scourge began shouting from above to the stranger. "You'd better hurry up and open the portal! I can see other cops coming this way!! Take the blue if you want, just be quick!!"
The stranger sighed before he replied. "He's right, though I hate what he did to you he's right. I must leave before things get too out of control, and with your injury I don't want to make things anymore complicate for you. I'll leave you to be tended to by your cops, I'll be back soon, but I must go now." Zonic didn't know what else to think except for one thing. "I trust you this time stranger, and when you come back, I'll be ready." "Right." And he helped Zonic to wall to lean against for support before standing up to leave. "Stay safe." With that, he left in a flash as he teleported to different location before no zone cops started rushing in from a nearby door, and quickly tended to their injured leader by a wall, right before Zonic passed out from fatigue and a little blood loss.
He was knocked out for a good three days before he woke up in the infirmary. He remembered everything that happened, and wanted to find more answers about this mysterious person and why he was doing what he was doing to the no zone prison. However, he knew that that would be impossible at the moment since he has little to no information as to where this person could even be, let alone know who he's working for. so he can only rely on time to tell if he can see again. He remembered what he said and he said to him back, and that's exactly what he will do. Wait for his return, and until then he will keep his guard up for anything suspicious in the zone prison.
